Monday

San Antonio Spurs @ New Orleans Pelicans: I have said before that Tim Duncan vs. Anthony Davis will warrant inclusion on this list until one of them retires. Just a fun challenge for each of them.

Denver Nuggets @ Utah Jazz: Ty Lawson can (and likely does) serve as a model for what Trey Burke can develop into as a professional, so it will be interesting to see them face off. I also like Derrick Favors going against the Denver front line.

Wednesday

Toronto Raptors @ Boston Celtics: Because one of them might win the Atlantic Division. Really.

Houston Rockets @ New Orleans Pelicans: Lots of strange positional strengths and weaknesses here, even with Jrue Holiday missing the game. I have no idea how Eric Gordon will defend James Harden, but I genuinely want to see it. Could see plenty of Tyreke Evans too as long as his ankle is okay.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Portland Trail Blazers: Kyrie Irving and Damian Lillard should be all the sales pitch any NBA fan needs.

Dallas Mavericks @ Los Angeles Clippers: One of the few games actually made more compelling because of Chris Paul’s injury since it gives Darren Collison more minutes against his most recent former team and balances the squads a little more. Look for Blake Griffin to try to make a statement here against Dirk, though Nowitzki could have a Love-esque scoring night.

Friday

Utah Jazz @ Detroit Pistons: Worth a glance because of Andre Drummond and Derrick Favors sharing the court.

Portland Trail Blazers @ San Antonio Spurs [Game of the Week]: Portland has already won their share of impressive games at home this year but a second win over San Antonio at the Moda Center in the same season would be truly remarkable. Kawhi Leonard should have the opportunity to score some points here but Tony Parker and Damian Lillard will likely decide the outcome.

Saturday

Detroit Pistons @ Washington Wizards: Strangely enough, this is the third time these teams have faced each other in three weeks. The last two were won by John Wall and the Wizards so a Detroit team looking to catch up in the standings will have some extra motivation.

Portland Trail Blazers @ Dallas Mavericks: Another day, another tough game for the Blazers. Dallas native LaMarcus Aldridge returns home to face Dirk Nowitzki and the feisty Mavericks. While Portland will be coming off their huge game with San Antonio, Dallas needs to assert their claim on one of the last two seeds in the Western Conference and can take advantage of a fortunate situation here. Plus, Monta Ellis already hit a game-winner against the Blazers in a fabulous game earlier this season.

Sunday

Sacramento Kings @ Oklahoma City Thunder: Kevin Durant and Rudy Gay may get the headlines but I want to see DeMarcus Cousins and Steven Adams on the court at the same time. The Kiwi has already driven normally level-headed players to madness so I cannot imagine what could happen with Boogie.
