Team Needs: The Kings will look for the best player available. They have one of the deepest teams in the entire league and will most likely look for a backup center or point guard to become even deeper.

Outlook: The face of the Kings franchise is changing with the addition of Ron Artest this season and the hiring of Eric Musselman as coach. The team will look to become stronger, but rumors continue to float around that Brad Miller and Mike Bibby may both be shopped to continue on the path towards change. The team will look to re-sign Bonzi Wells if his price tag is suitable and after looking above average in their series against the San Antonio Spurs, the team appears headed in the right direction.

Most Suitable Prospects:
Saer Sene - A center prospect that the team can afford to wait on. Sene will offer the Kings a shot blocking presence, something that they sorely lack. He will be able to develop in limited minutes backing up Brad Miller as perhaps his primary backup at the center position.

Rajon Rondo - An athletic, defensive-minded point guard on a team that is looking for defensive-minded players. The Jason Hart experiment did not seem to work out, but Rondo is versatile enough to play on the court with Mike Bibby at the same time and has very high upside.

Josh Boone - Boone may be something of a reach at this position, but is a solid shot blocker with good length who can play both the 4 and 5. Boone is likely NBA-ready, but is an exceptionally inconsistent player (like most players coming out of Connecticut).

Best Case Scenario:
The Kings find a player who they like in workouts that drops to them at their position. Someone with the enthusiasm of their two previous draft picks Francisco Garcia (2005) and Kevin Martin (2004).

Worst Case Scenario:
The Kings miss out on the player who they think is the best fit for their team or they have a valuable swingman drop to their position when they are already stacked at that spot and pass him up.
