Team Needs: Anything and everything, as well as nothing. It sounds complicated and it really is, but the Knicks have a deep team with very little chemistry. The Knicks need a player who will help them immediately and be ready and willing to help them compete for the playoffs.

Outlook: The Knicks are coming off of a terrible season that let down every Knicks fans on the planet. Expectaitons were sky high and the results were disgraceful. Larry Brown looks to be on the way out and the Knicks have a wealth of talented players, but no idea how to utilize them to formulate a winning team. The future looks bleak in New York.

Most Suitable Prospects:
Jordan Farmar - the team could use a player who is actually a legitimate point guard. Farmar knows how to run a team, is a vocal leader, an above-average defender and knows how to compete for a winning team after his UCLA squad made it to the NCAA finals. Farmar has solid court vision and could help the Knicks when they need a player who can help set the offense up and spread the ball.

Rajon Rondo - Another legitimate point guard with perhaps a higher ceiling than Farmar. Rondo would not be needed to take a wealth of shots, can create on offense and is a fantastic perimeter defender. Rondo's attitude would spread like wildfire for a team that lacks a defensive presence.

Josh Boone - Aside from Channing Frye, the Knicks have no legitimate shot blockers. It would be nice to have a player like Boone come in off the bench and provide defensive toughness for a few minutes each game. Not a very polished offensive player, but the Knicks need to focus on defense anyhow.

Best Case Scenario:
The Knicks select a player who can help create offensive chemistry and provide much needed defense.

Worst Case Scenario:
The Knicks select a project who will contribute nothing significant to this trainwreck of a team.
