Head coach Vujosevic has left CSKA

CSKA Moscow decided to release head coach Dusko Vujosevic after a difficult 1-5 start in the Euroleague. Assistant coach Saso Filipovski also left the team and assistant coach Dmitriy Shakulin will become interim head coach indefinitely.

According to the Russian media, there could be more changes for the team. Jamont Gordon and Boban Marjanovic are two main candidates to leave struggling CSKA, which is at the bottom of the Euroleague group D.

Partizan signed Jerrells

Despite a great Euroleague start where they won four out of their first six games, Partizan Belgrade has decided to make some changes to their roster. Partizan released point guard Oliver Lafayette and replaced him with former Baylor University star Curtis Jerrells.

Moore to move to Israel?

According to the Israeli media, former NBA veteran Mikki Moore could sign in Europe. The 35-year-old forward is among the candidates to join Hapeol Jerusalem, who are trying to improve their roster after a great start in the Europcup (2-0).

Moore averaged 5.8 points and 3.9 rebounds during his 11-year journeyman career in the NBA.

Iverson improving

Allen Iverson scored 18 points (6-for-13 from the floor) and played his best overall game in the Eurocup this season, but that wasn’t enough for Besiktas Istanbul to defeat BG Goettingen. However, Besiktas decided to fill a protest, which was reviewed by the Eurocup's independent disciplinary judge.
The Eurocup’s judge has ordered a full replay of the game.

Hope is alive in Belgium

Demond Mallet scored 21 points and Spirou Basket got a new life to make it top the Euroleague Top 16 with a surprising 79-75 victory over Unicaja Malaga. It was the second win for Spirou Basket, which started Euroleague season with four consecutive losses.

Former Florida forward Brent Wright scored 12 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out 4 assists for Spirou Basket. Unicaja’s Joel Freeland, who has his draft rights owned by the Blazers, ended up with 14 points and 7 boards.

Rubio shined in Croatia

Ricky Rubio finally played another great game and leading Barcelona to a 94-75 win over winless Cibona Zagreb.

Rubio finished the game with season-high 18 points (5/8 FG), 4 assists and season-high 4 steals.

Nightmare continues for Brose Baskets

Brose Baskets Bamberg, who are playing great basketball this season, was very close to grabbing their third win this season, but victory slipped away once again and Lottomatica Roma won the match by 68-67.

The Germans have now lost their last three games by one, four (65-69) and two points (81-83).

Former San Antonio Spurs guard Darius Washington led the winners with 17 points and 5 rebounds.  Other former NBA player, Casey Jabobsen scored a team-high 15 points (5/9 3PT) for Brose Baskets.

Chuck Eidson – Euroleague MVP of November

Maccabi Tel Aviv leader Chuck Eidson, who led his team to 4-0 this month, was named as Euroleague MVP for November. The guard averaged 12.8 points, 4 assists and 3 steals in four games, which were played in November.

Maccabi is the leader of the group A with 5-1.

EuroBasket 2015 in United Kingdom?

Luol Deng’s home country United Kingdom will try to get hosting rights to hold EuroBasket in 2015 or 2017. No major championships are yet scheduled to take place in the United Kingdom after the 2012 Olympic games.

"Along with the World Championships and Olympic Games, this event ranks as one of the big three of international basketball and would attract a great many visitors along with vastly increasing the profile of the sport in Britain,” England Basketball chief executive Keith Mair said.

The new hope to host EuroBasket 2013 in Slovenia

The Slovenian government has finally decided to support the country's bid to host EuroBasket 2013 and give 1.16 million euros. However, the government has to pay 6.5 million euros overall but Slovenian Basketball Association will try to negotiate a lower fee.

Slovenia remains the only candidate to host EuroBasket 2013 after the announcement that Italy has withdrawn its interest in hosting the championship.
