The final full week of regular season basketball features some high profile matchups and plenty of playoff ramifications.

Monday

Trail Blazers @ Nets: Brooklyn has the best record of the teams in the scrum for the East’s seven and eight seeds but their schedule consists almost exclusively of playoff teams. Should have been Net Damian Lillard and the Blazers can still get home court in the 4/5 series so we should see a strong game from them.

Tuesday

Suns @ Hawks: Even though both of these teams are pretty settled in, this could be a fun game between squads that can get up and down the floor.

Hornets @ Heat: Likely not an elimination game at this point but a loss to another team in the hunt would be extremely damaging to the loser. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist could have extended minutes guarding Dwyane Wade, which makes this even more fun.

Warriors @ Pelicans: Golden State may have their regular season locked up but the Pelicans are still gunning to play them in the first round. Anthony Davis and New Orleans still have a solid shot and need to win here to have a fighting chance.

Wednesday

Pacers @ Knicks: Welcome back, Paul George!

Pelicans @ Grizzlies: Memphis can still get the 2nd seed and Dallas in the first round but may need to win out to stay ahead of the Clippers, much less the Rockets. Plus, Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol go at Anthony Davis and Omer Asik.

Cavaliers @ Bucks: Cleveland’s play has pushed them above a series with the Bucks, but I am still intrigued to see how Giannis and company defend the East’s hottest team.

Rockets @ Spurs (Game of the Week): A pairing with the potential for an incredibly entertaining game that also carries immense playoff impacts. These teams are gunning for the same thing and could face one another in a 3/6 or 4/5 series (or more likely in the second round).

Kings @ Jazz: Rudy Gobert vs. Demarcus Cousins. Yes please.

Friday

Wizards @ Nets: Another huge game that will help sort out both the bottom of the East and the on-going battle between Toronto and Washington to see who hosts that series. Deron Williams has played better recently but will need to dominate against John Wall for his team to get a necessary home win.

Pacers @ Pistons: Indiana’s final three games are against the Thunder, Wizards and Grizzlies so wins this week are mandatory. Unfortunately for them, Detroit has already started playing spoiler and could certainly continue that effort.

Kings @ Thunder: On the list to see if Steven Adams can drive DeMarcus Cousins past the point of insanity.

Saturday

Timberwolves @ Warriors: Strangely engrossing now that Golden State will likely be sitting some key members of their team. That shift in talent makes the Rubio/Wiggins combination more potent.

Sunday

Thunder @ Pacers: The preceding events of the week could elevate or lower the stakes here but I am confident that it will still be incredibly important for at least one of the teams. George Hill has a chance to bolster his reputation as a defender against Russell Westbrook, eater of worlds.

Pelicans @ Rockets: A third big game for the Pelicans and the second against an opponent with plenty to play for. New Orleans does not have a natural defender for James Harden so he could be making plays in the trees against the Pelicans’ long front line.
