Tyler Honeycutt is averaging an encouraging 14.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game for UCLA.

Honeycutt is a legitimate first round prospect should he declare, which will be a difficult decision for prospects in his range.

His 33 points against Kansas notwithstanding, Honeycutt has doubled his scoring average and has consistently been more aggressive as a scorer during his sophomore season than what he showed as a freshman.

The majority of his offense continues to come from spotting up, but he has shown some promise in ISOs during limited opportunities. But without question, Honeycutt's game projects as a mid-range jump shooter.

His drop in assist/turnover ratio from 1.11 to .81 has been troubling (seven against USC is entirely excessive), but I do like what I have seen from him in terms of vision and imagination in the area.

With better athleticism and pedigree, the rookie season of Landry Fields has to be encouraging for Honeycutt, who will be a similar, lanky, do a little of everything 2/3 in the NBA.
