Lately there have been many different reasons to praise Kevin Durant. One of them was for becoming the youngest player ever to join the elite 50-40-90 Club. Durant, 24, became only the sixth player in league history to hit 50 percent from the field, 40 percent on three-point attempts and 90 percent from the line in a single NBA season.

After witnessing Durant's outstanding offensive performance during the 2012-13 season, RealGM tried to answer the question how 50-40-90 club would look like if it existed in Europe?

Of course, some of the 50-40-90 club rules had to be adapted to European basketball. Instead of counting field goals percentage, two-point shot percentage was chosen. Also the minimum requirements were reduced as players had to make at least 30 two-pointers, 15 threes and 20 free throws in a single Euroleague season.

The conducted research showed that since Euroleague separation from FIBA in 2000, 50-40-90 threshold has been reached by seven players, including three Americans. Sergei Chikalkin, Marcus Faison, Trajan Langdon, Marcus Brown, Nikola Mirotic, Sarunas Jasikevicius and Arvydas Macijauskas are the only players in last 13 years to reach 50-40-90 percentages.

First of all, former CSKA star Langdon and four-time Euroleague champion Jasikevicius are the only Euroleague players to achieve this result more than once. Langdon reached 50-40-90 mark in 2006-07 and 2009-10 seasons, while Jasikevicius became a member of the club in 2003-04 with Maccabi and repeated it in 2007-08 with Panathinaikos.

Comparing with the NBA, Jasikevicius can be called the European Steve Nash for many reasons. Both are elite playmakers, 50-40-90 club leaders with abilities as a passer that overshadowed their scoring abilities. For instance, Nash's career percentages are 52 percent from short distance, 43 from beyond the arc and 90 from the line. Jasikevicius' accuracy in Euroleague is almost identical - 52 percent on two-pointers, 39 from long distance and 92 percent from the free throw line.

Also, both point guards are the best free throw shooters in NBA and Euroleague history. Nash is the best ever NBA shooter from the line, while Jasikevicius reached the same result in Euroleague. Free throws appear to be the hardest mark to reach in order to become a member of 50-40-90 club. Very few players make nine out of 10 free throws on a daily basis, while sometimes in Euroleague 90 percent mark becomes unreachable.

Nash and Jasikevicius also have another similarity - in 2012-13, both playmakers demonstrated that age has never been a problem for them. At the age of 39, Los Angeles Lakers' Nash, who leads NBA elite club with four 50-40-90 seasons, reached 49-43-90 result last season and was close on putting his fifth season into the NBA records book. Jasikevicius was close on achieving the exact same thing in Europe. The 37-year-old guard recorded 53-34-93 performance throughout previous Euroleague season and was only three 3-pointers away from reaching the minimum mark.

The newest member of the club is Chicago Bulls' draft pick Nikola Mirotic, who reached the threshold at the age of 21. In 2011-12, Real's big man hit 57 percent from short distance, 43 from beyond the arc and 91 from the line, while averaging 12.5 points per game.
