The Brooklyn Nets have reassigned Tornike Shengelia to the Springfield Armor, the Nets’ NBA Development League affiliate.
Shengelia rejoins the Armor having played in 13 games for the Nets this season, averaging 1.4 points and 4.2 minutes. In his previous two assignments to Springfield, he played in three games, averaging 28.3 points, 13.7 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 41.3 minutes. For his efforts, he was named NBA D-League Performer of the Week on Jan. 28.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have reassigned Perry Jones, Jeremy Lamb and DeAndre Liggins to the Tulsa 66ers, the Thunders’ NBA Development League affiliate.
Jones (6-11, 235, Baylor) has appeared in 29 games for Oklahoma City this season, averaging 1.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 7.0 minutes. In his previous stints with Tulsa, Jones averaged 14.1 points, 7.0 rebounds and 33.0 minutes in 11 games.
Lamb (6-5, 180, Connecticut) has played in 18 games for the Thunder this season, averaging 2.2 points and 4.4 minutes. In his previous assignments to the 66ers, he averaged 21.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 33.2 minutes in 14 games.
Liggins (6-6, 209, Kentucky) has played in 33 games this season for Oklahoma City, averaging 1.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 8.0 minutes. During his previous assignments to Tulsa, he appeared in six games, averaging 10.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 37.2 minutes.
The Los Angeles D-Fenders have acquired center Jerome Jordan from the Reno Bighorns in exchange for forward Ronald Dupree and guard Orien Greene.
A 2013 NBA Development League All-Star, Jordan appeared in 24 games with the Bighorns this season, averaging 13.0 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in 30.4 minutes. Jordan has averaged 13.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in 29 career NBA D-League games.
Kris Joseph of the Springfield Armor has been named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Feb. 18-24.
Joseph averaged 24.7 points while shooting 47 percent from behind the arc as the Armor went 3-0 on the week.
Before being traded to Springfield, Joseph played 12 games this season with the Maine Red Claws, averaging 19.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.8 steals.
Other top performers considered include Austin’s Cory Joseph, on assignment from the San Antonio Spurs, Bakersfield’s Damion James, Canton’s Kyle Gibson, Erie’s Kyle Goldcamp, Fort Wayne’s Tony Mitchell, Idaho’s Durrell Summers, Iowa’s Paul Harris, Los Angeles’ Gary Flowers, Maine’s Shelvin Mack, Reno’s Samardo Samuels, Rio Grande Valley’s Andrew Goudelock, Santa Cruz’s Travis Leslie, Sioux Falls’ Demetris Nichols, Texas’ Justin Dentmon and Tulsa’s Rasual Butler.
The Houston Rockets assigned second-year forward Tyler Honeycutt to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets’ NBA Development League affiliate.
Honeycutt (6-8, 188, UCLA) was acquired by Houston in a trade with the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday along with Thomas Robinson and Francisco Garcia in exchange for Patrick Patterson, Toney Douglas, Cole Aldrich and cash.
Honeycutt has played in 24 games over two seasons, averaging 1.2 points and 1.0 rebound in 5.0 minutes, all with Sacramento.
The Austin Toros of the D-League have signed small forward Bill Walker.
Walker (6-6, 235, Kansas State) was the 47th overall pick by the Washington Wizards in the 2008 NBA draft. He was then traded to the Boston Celtics. While on the Celtics roster, Walker was assigned to the NBA D-League, playing for the Utah Flash in 2008 and the Maine Red Claws in 2009.
In three seasons (09-10 to 11-12), Walker played 120 games with the Knicks. Walker averaged 5.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 19.4 minutes played his final season with New York.
Dexter Pittman has been recalled from the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League by the Miami Heat.
Pittman was re-assigned to the Heat's D-League affiliate for his third stint on February 3. He was originally assigned to Sioux Falls on December 26 and recalled on January 17 before being re-assigned on January 18 and recalled on Jan. 20.
Pittman has appeared in 15 games (12 starts) with Sioux Falls this season and averaged 12.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.67 blocks and 24.9 minutes while shooting 47 percent from the field.
Kris Joseph appeared in 12 games (eight starts) with the Red Claws this season, averaging 18.2 points on .437 shooting, 5.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.6 steals in 34.1 minutes per game.
