Ra'Shad James has agreed to sign with Cedevita Zagreb.

James played last season in the D-League for the Westchester Knicks, averaging 16.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 27.7 minutes per game.

James averaged 14.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 20.7 minutes over five Summer League games with the Bucks.

Abdel Nader has committed to signing a contract in the D-League with the Maine Red Claws.

Nader received significant offers in Europe as well.

Nader played for the Celtics in Summer League after he was the 58th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft out of Iowa State.

Coby Karl has been hired by the Los Angeles D-Fenders as head coach.

Karl previously was an assistant coach of the Westchester Knicks.

Karl is the son of George Karl and played intermittently in the NBA.

The Reno Bighorns will hold open tryouts in Reno on Saturday, Aug. 27 and in Sacramento on Sunday, Aug. 28.

Players will compete to earn an invitation to the Bighorns' training camp in early November.

Members of the Bighorns and Sacramento Kings' staff will be in attendance to evaluate players.

Raptors 905, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, announced Monday it will hold an open tryout for potential invitations to the team’s training camp in November. The tryout will be Saturday, September 10 starting at 9 a.m. at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport on the west side of the University of Toronto’s St. George campus, 100 Devonshire Place.

Players interested in participating in the open tryout can register online at Raptors905.com.

Participants that register and submit payment before September 5, 2016 will have access to early bird pricing of $225 plus applicable taxes. After September 5, 2016 and on the day of the tryout, the full registration fee of $275 plus applicable taxes will be applied.

Baron Davis continues to pursue a comeback to the NBA.

“Nah, I’m trying to get back to the NBA,” Davis said when asked if he's preparing for one more season in the D-League. “The real thing.”

Davis hasn't played in the NBA for four seasons after suffering a torn ACL and MCL with the Knicks.

Davis played six games last season with the 76ers' D-League affiliate, averaging 12.8 points in 22 minutes per game. Davis has since been working out and playing in some Drew League games in hopes for a camp invite.

“It’s full circle. I came to The Drew with big dreams as a kid, and now I have a goal again,” Davis said. “I just feel like I have something left to give. When I don’t, I’ll hang it up and stay away for good. But right now there’s something there.”

Trevor Cooney has agreed to a deal with the Long Island Nets of the D-League.

Long Island is the D-League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets.

Cooney went undrafted out of Syracuse after averaging 13.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 36.4 minutes per game as a senior.

Cooney didn't participate in Summer League.

Rasheed Sulaimon has signed a camp deal with the Charlotte Hornets and will play in the D-League.

Sulaimon went undrafted out of Maryland.

Jerry Stackhouse is expected to be named head coach of the Raptors 905 of the D-League.

Stackhouse was an assistant coach under Dwane Casey this past season with the Toronto Raptors. Jesse Mermuys left the 905 after one season at the helm to take an assistant coach position with the Los Angeles Lakers, leaving a vacancy in Mississauga.

The Toronto Raptors used their expansion D-League team a lot last season as Anthony Bennett, Bruno Caboclo, Delon Wright, Lucas Nogueira and Normal Powell combined for 77 games played in Mississauga.

Stackhouse coached the Raptors' Summer League team this year.
