The Canton Charge have signed Arinze Onuaku as a returning player and waived guard/forward Zane Johnson, the team announced on Wednesday.

Onuaku, 26, spent training camp and the beginning of the 2013-14 NBA season with the New Orleans Pelicans, playing in three games and averaging 1.0 point, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 8.3 minutes per game.

Onuaku played in 38 games for the Charge last season (32 starts) and averaged 12.6 points on .564 shooting with 9.5 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 23.7 minutes per game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have ruled out sending forward Anthony Bennett to the Canton Charge in the NBA D-League, according to a source.

Bennett is averaging just 1.3 points in 10 games this season, missing 32 of his 37 field-goal attempts.

Bennett was the Cavaliers' No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.

When asked about the possibility of Bennett heading to the D-League earlier in the week, Mike Brown said that would be a question for the Cavaliers' front office.
