The Canton Charge announced today that they have acquired the Idaho Stampede’s second round choice in the 2012 NBA Development League Draft and guard Loren Stokes (6-3, 175, Hofstra) from the Erie Bayhawks in a three-team deal. Canton sent guard Keith McLeod and their own 2012 fourth round pick to the BayHawks and Idaho received guard Devin Green from Erie to complete the trade.
"Everyone in the Canton Charge organization would like to thank Keith for his leadership and professionalism as he played an integral part in the beginnings of this franchise in Canton,” said Charge General Manager Wes Wilcox. “Because of his strong play and personal character, this was an opportunity for us to receive good value and a future asset in return. The Nuggets have recalled rookie G/F Jordan Hamilton from the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League, team executive vice president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri announced today.
Hamilton, 6-7, 220, played in six games (two starts) for Idaho, averaging 9.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 24.0 minutes per game.
The Portland Trail Blazers have recalled point guard Armon Johnson from the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League, it was announced today by Acting General Manager Chad Buchanan.
In five games with the Stampede, Johnson averaged 11.8 points, 7.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds. He put up a season-high 19 points to go along with two assists and five rebounds Jan. 9 against the Erie Bayhawks.
Johnson and teammate Luke Babbitt were assigned to the Stampede by the Trail Blazers on Jan. 4.

Stone, 6-6, 200, played in three games (two starts) for Idaho, averaging 7.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.33 steals in 23.0 minutes per game.
Mike James scored 23 points to lead the Erie BayHawks to a 103-101 win over the Idaho Stampede in the opening game of the 2012 NBA D-League Showcase.
Chris Daniels chipped in 19 points for Erie, including 3-for-3 shooting from distance.
Armon Johnson, who is on assignment from the Blazers, had 19 points for the Stampede. Luke Babbitt, also on assignment from the Blazers, had 15 points and seven rebounds.
The Portland Trail Blazers have assigned forward Luke Babbitt and guard Armon Johnson to the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League.
In two stints with the Stampede last season, Babbitt averaged 19.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists while playing in 13 games (nine starts). He scored a game-high 34 points, while shooting 12-of-16 from the field on March 27 against Austin.
Johnson also made two trips to Idaho last year, averaging 18.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists in his nine games with the Stampede. Johnson shot 59.7 percent from the field in D-League action last season and scored a season-high 27 points Feb. 16 against Bakersfield.
Babbitt made his Trail Blazers season debut Dec. 27, playing two minutes against Sacramento. Johnson has been on the inactive list for each of Portland's games this season.
