The Los Angeles D-Fenders have acquired forward Justin Harper.

In a related move, the team has waived center Kentrell Gransberry.

Harper, a 6’10” forward from Richmond, spent training camp with the Brooklyn Nets and appeared in six preseason games, with averages of 9.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 19.1 minutes. Harper was drafted in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, and was immediately traded to the Orlando Magic for a future 2nd round pick. Harper played in 22 games for the Magic during the 2011-12 season. In November of 2012, Harper signed with the Idaho Stampede of the NBADL and appeared in 48 games, with averages of 11.7 points, and 6.5 rebounds per game. Harper has also played professionally in France, Israel and Italy since graduating from the University of Richmond in 2011.
