Jun 24, 2023 5:57 PM

Keyontae Johnson will sign a two-way contract with the Okalahoma City Thunder and the Oklahoma City Blue of the G League, per Thunder front office executive Sam Presti. The Thunder drafted Johnson with the 50th pick of the 2023 NBA Draft.

Johnson averaged 17.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for Kansas State last season. In his lone season with the Wildcats, Johnson started in 36 games and averaged 34.1 minutes per game.

It was unclear if Johnson would ever play again, after suffering a cardiac issue during his junior season with the Florida Gators. Johnson played in a ceremonial game with the Gators as a senior. Following his time at Florida, Johnson was cleared to play again and transferred to Kansas State for his senior season.
