Raptors 905, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, announced Saturday the club has waived guard Nick Wiggins.

The team also announced Saturday forward Walter Pitchford’s retirement from professional basketball.

Wiggins appeared in 10 games this season, averaging 4.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and 10.1 minutes. Pitchford played in five games, averaging 2.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 14.2 minutes.

The Toronto Raptors announced forward Bruno Caboclo and guard Norman Powell have been assigned to Raptors 905, the club’s NBA Development League affiliate.

Both players are expected to be in uniform for Tuesday’s contest at the Sioux Falls Skyforce. 

Caboclo has averaged 13.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 32.0 minutes in 14 D-League outings, all starts. He tallied a season-high 25 points at Fort Wayne on November 15 and grabbed a season-best 13 rebounds November 14 at Fort Wayne. 

Powell made his first appearance with Raptors 905 this weekend. He had 23 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 40 minutes in his debut Saturday versus Delaware. He scored a game-high 30 points (12-18 FG) in 34 minutes in Sunday’s victory over Delaware. 

The Toronto Raptors announced Saturday they have assigned guard Norman Powell to Raptors 905, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Raptors. Powell is expected to be in uniform Saturday.

Powell has appeared in 12 games this season with the Raptors, averaging 1.4 points, 1.3 rebounds and 5.9 minutes. Powell was selected in the second round (46th overall) by Milwaukee in the 2015 NBA Draft. His draft rights were then traded by Milwaukee to Toronto along with a protected future first-round draft choice (originally belonging to the Los Angeles Clippers) for guard Greivis Vasquez.

Powell will remain on the Raptors’ roster and will be placed on the team’s inactive list.
