D-Fenders Acquire Jerome Jordan From Reno For Dupree, Greene

The Los Angeles D-Fenders have acquired center Jerome Jordan from the Reno Bighorns in exchange for forward Ronald Dupree and guard Orien Greene.

A 2013 NBA Development League All-Star, Jordan appeared in 24 games with the Bighorns this season, averaging 13.0 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in 30.4 minutes. Jordan has averaged 13.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in 29 career NBA D-League games.

Lamb, Joseph Headline 2013 D-League All-Stars

The NBA D-League has announced their 2013 All-Star teams.

Fourteen of the players have NBA experience and several are currently on NBA rosters.

On the Future All-Star roster are Micah Downs, Courtney Fortson, Ron Howard, Jerome Jordan, Jeremy Lamb, Marcus Landry, Shelvin Mack, Arinze Onuaku, DaJuan Summers and Chris Wright.

On the Prospects All-Star roster are Andrew Goudelock, Damion James, Terrence Jones, Cory Joseph, D.J. Kennedy, James Mays, Jerel McNeal, Demetric Nichols, Tim Ohlbrecht and Henry Sims.

Luke Harangody (Fort Wayne Mad Ants), Jerome Jordan (Reno Bighorns), Jeremy Lamb (Tulsa 66ers on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder), Shelvin Mack (Maine Red Claws) and DaJuan Summers (Maine Red Claws) were selected to the First Team All-NBA D-League Showcase First Team.

Bakerfield’s Damion James, now of the Brooklyn Nets, Austin’s Cory Joseph, on assignment from the San Antonio Spurs, Reno’s Marcus Landry, Sioux Falls’ Dexter Pittman, on assignment from the Miami Heat, and Texas’ Chris Roberts comprise the Second Team.

The Los Angeles’ Courtney Fortson, Fort Wayne’s Ron Howard, Erie’s D.J. Kennedy, Rio Grande Valley’s Terrence Jones, on assignment from the Houston Rockets, and Tulsa’s Daniel Orton, on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder, round out the third team.

Jazz Recall Kevin Murphy From Reno

The Utah Jazz have recalled rookie Kevin Murphy from the Reno Bighorns, Utah’s NBA Development League affiliate.

In 14 games (12 starts) with the Bighorns, Murphy averaged 13.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 28.6 minutes. He began his assignment with Reno on November 26.

Reno Acquires Russell From Fort Wayne For Richardson, McClinton

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants traded point guard Walker Russell, Jr. to the Reno Bighorns for Anthony Richardson and Jack McClinton.

"I would like to thank Walker for all his contributions to the Mad Ants since our inception," said Mad Ants President Jeff Potter. "It is never easy to trade someone like Walker, but I think the organization needs to go in another direction and trading Walker was a step I felt needed to be taken to make that happen."

Honeycutt Recalled By Kings From Reno

The Kings have recalled second-year forward Tyler Honeycutt from the Reno Bighorns of the NBA Development League.

Honeycutt was assigned to the Bighorns on Nov. 8 after missing most of the summer league and preseason because of stress fractures.

Grizzlies Assign Selby To Reno

The Memphis Grizzlies have assigned second-year guard Josh Selby to the Reno Bighorns, the Grizzlies’ NBA Development League affiliate. 

Selby (6-2, 183, Kansas) returns to the Bighorns having played in eight games on assignment during the 2011-12 season, when he averaged 25.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 34.3 minutes.   

Selby appeared in 23 games for Memphis last season, averaging 2.5 points, 1.2 assists and 8.8 minutes.

Grizzlies Assign Tony Wroten To D-League

The Memphis Grizzlies today assigned rookie guard Tony Wroten to the Reno Bighorns, the Grizzlies’ NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the first for Wroten.

Wroten (6-6, 208, Washington) has appeared in three games for Memphis this season, averaging 2.7 minutes. Selected in the first round, 25th overall, of the 2012 NBA Draft, Wroten spent one year with the Huskies, when he averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.9 steals. For his efforts, he was named All-Pac 12 Freshman of the Year (2012).

Jazz To Reassign Kevin Murphy To D-League

The Utah Jazz had been planning on reassigning Kevin Murphy to the Reno Bighorns of the D-League on Monday.

But Mo Williams' injury may put the move on hold.

Murphy has played in just three of Utah's first 13 games.

D-League Players Make Between $13,000 And $25,500 Per Year

The D-League has three classifications for player salaries, paying $25,500, $19,000 and $13,000 per year.

D-League teams also have a per-team salary cap of $178,000 with a dollar-for-dollar luxury tax for teams that go over.

Players also receive a per diem of $40 on the road.
