Milan Macvan Focused On Overseas Deal, Talks Not Expected With Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers and their 2011 second round draft pick, Milan Macvan, had been expected to start preliminary negotiations, but Macvan now is solely concentrating on a new contract in Europe, a source told RealGM.

Macvan’s deal with Galatasaray of Turkey had expired this offseason, and the 24-year-old forward had shown a willingness to negotiate a move to Cleveland. FC Bayern Munich and Alba Berlin have emerged as top suitors for Macvan, a source said.

In his second season with Galatasaray, Macvan, a 6-foot-8 forward, averaged 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounds and 50.5 percent shooting from the field.

Cleveland selected Macvan with the 54th overall pick in 2011.

The Houston Rockets are interested in signing Malcolm Delaney of Bayern Munich.

But the Rockets are leaning against making a late addition to their roster due the probability of Patrick Beverley returning from his meniscus injury.
