Real Madrid, Cajasol Advance To Spanish Cup Semifinals

On Friday in the Spanish Cup, Cajasol defeated Unicaja Malaga by a final score of 77-65 and Real Madrid beat Baloncesto Fuenlabrada by a 75-66 decision.

Both teams advanced to the Semifinals where they will meet on Saturday.

Barcelona will play Caja Laboral in the other Semifinal game.

Felipe Reyes led Real Madrid with 17 points and 12 rebounds to finish with a game FIC of 19.2.

Cajasol was led by Earl Calloway (16 points) and Luka Bogdanovic (13 points).

Mirza Teletovic had the best game FIC mark from the weekend Spanish ACB games, scoring 30 points on 14 shots from the field to go with seven rebounds.

But Caja Laboral dropped an 89-87 decision to Obradoiro in overtime.

Kristaps Valters (18.8) of Unicaja Malaga, Carlos Suarez (17.0) and Sergio Llull of Real Madrid (15.2), Jon Stefansson (16.0) of Basket Zaragoza, Sergi Vidal (15.0) of Lagun Aro GBC and Herve Toure (13.0) of Blancos de Rueda Valladolid also had strong performances.
