Teletovic Leads Top Spanish ACB Performers From Feb. 11-12

Mirza Teletovic had the best game FIC mark from the weekend Spanish ACB games, scoring 30 points on 14 shots from the field to go with seven rebounds.

But Caja Laboral dropped an 89-87 decision to Obradoiro in overtime.

Kristaps Valters (18.8) of Unicaja Malaga, Carlos Suarez (17.0) and Sergio Llull of Real Madrid (15.2), Jon Stefansson (16.0) of Basket Zaragoza, Sergi Vidal (15.0) of Lagun Aro GBC and Herve Toure (13.0) of Blancos de Rueda Valladolid also had strong performances.

Bilbao's Fischer, Jackson Excellent In Upset Of Real Madrid

D'or Fischer and Aaron Jackson of Bilbao Basket had the best performances of the weekend in the Spanish ACB as they defeated Real Madrid by a 93-90 final.

Bilbao improved to 10-9 as they gave Madrid just their fourth loss of the domestic league season.

Fischer scored 19 points on 11 shots to go with 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals to have a game FIC of 24.1. 

Jackson scored a game-high 21 points on 11 shots, going 3-for-4 from the three-point line to finish with a game FIC of 19.2. Jackson also had seven assists.

Sergio Llull had 18 points and Ante Tomic had 16 in a losing effort for Madrid.

Other top performers from the Spanish ACB this weekend include Kaloyan Ivanov, Lucentum Alicante: 17.0, Josh Asselin, Assignia Manresa: 15.5, Paul Davis, Cajasol: 15.4 and Milt Palacio, Obradoiro CAB: 12.8.

As expected, Real Madrid and Barcelona are atop the standings of the world’s second best domestic league. Each team is perfect at home and winning by a margin of 11+ points per game. Madrid beat Barcelona on January 4th by a 78-74 final on their home floor. The two teams will meet again on May 2nd.

Lucentum Alicante is tied for fifth place with a 12-6 record, but are ranked eighth here and have a negative point differential.

Andy Panko, James Augustin and Javi Rodriguez are the leaders in points, rebounds and assists per game, while Paul Davis has the highest PER and Augustine leads in season FIC.
