"For such a young player, Emmanuel has a complete game, is a leader and plays with a toughness that stands out the moment you see him step on the court. When you combine that with his commitment to training and his positive attitude, he has the potential to be a special player for a long time. We're proud to now be a part of his journey."

Sebastian Telfair Hopes China Experience Helps His Return To NBA

Sebastian Telfair is hopeful that his time playing in China will rejuvenate his career now that he's back in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

“I’m definitely unsatisfied,” Telfair said of his career. “I’m a hooper, I’m a player, I like to play a lot. I just didn’t get as many opportunities as I would have liked.”

Telfair turned down a two-year, $7 million deal in China for a $1.3 million veteran's minimum deal with the Thunder.

Telfair averaged 26 points per game last season in China.

“I was able to prove things to myself, getting an opportunity to play 30-something minutes a night, just go out there and hoop,” Telfair said. “Your team expects you to be a guy who scores 30 points a night for you to win. That was a big part of me going down there. Just to get that opportunity to get my legs back up under me.”
