Dusko Savanovic of FC Bayern Munich has been named Euroleague MVP for Round 9 of the regular season.

Savanovic scored a career-high 31 points – including 14 in the fourth quarter – to lead Bayern to a come-from-behind 95-89 victory over PGE Turow Zgorzelec.

Savanovic was not only efficient with his shooting – 7 of 10 on two-point shots, 4 of 6 from behind the three-point arc and 5 of 6 from the foul line – but he also totaled 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks for a performance index rating of 37, which was the highest of any player in Round 9 of the regular season. His index rating also established a record for Bayern Munich players in the Euroleague. This was the second time in Savanovic’s career that he was named player of the week.
