Free agent forward Eric Griffin will sign with Ponce of the Puerto Rican league for the Tournament of the Americas, a source told RealGM.

Griffin played for the Miami Heat in summer league and went to training camp with the organization, where he intrigued coaches and players with his athleticism.

Ponce ranks as one of the top teams in Puerto Rico, and Griffin is receiving interest from several teams in the league to sign after his play through the tournament in January.

Out of Campbell University, Griffin, 23, went unselected in the 2012 NBA draft, solidifying himself as a potential NBA player a season ago when he averaged over 17 points and seven rebounds in Italy.
