In a survey of Euroleague general managers, Real Madrid, CSKA, Olympiacos and Fenerbahce Ulker were voted for the teams most likely to reach the Final Four.
Barcelona was fifth with just 25 percent compared to 87.5 percent for fourth ranked Fenerbahce Ulker.
Fenerbahce Ulker has begun the Top 16 stage with two losses.

Marcelinho Huertas was named Euroleague MVP for Top-16, Round 2 as he led Barcelona past Fenerbahce Ulker 73-76 in Istanbul on Thursday, registering 23 points – just one below his Euroleague career-high.
Huertas shot 5-for-10 on two-point shots, 2-for-5 from behind the arc, and was perfect on seven free throws. In addition, Huertas dished seven assists, matched his Euroleague career-high with four steals, pulled down three rebounds and drew six fouls for a performance index rating of 30, the most among all players on winning teams this week.

Sergio Rodriguez has signed a contract extension with Real Madrid until the 2018 season.
Rodriguez has played with Real Madrid since the last of four NBA seasons with the New York Knicks in 2009-10.
Rodriguez was a first round draft pick by the Phoenix Suns in 2006 and played for the Portland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings. He averaged 4.3 points in 285 NBA games.

Omar Thomas of Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari was the player from a winning team with the best performance this week thanks to his index rating of 30 and named Eurocup MVP.
Thomas led his team with 20 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals, plus 6 drawn fouls in a 103-67 win over TED Ankara.

Shannon Brown continues to discuss a deal with NBA teams, but has become increasingly engaged with offers from China.
Brown was traded to the Washington Wizards in October by the Phoenix Suns and subsequently waived.
Brown was starting the second season of a two-year, $7 million deal.

Vassilis Spanoulis has been named Euroleague Player of the Week for Top-16, Round 1.
Spanoulis had 28 points, nine assists and five assists in Olympiacos' 95-82 win over Fenerbahce Ulker. Spanoulis shot 9-for-15 from the floor, 4-for-8 from three and 6-for-7 from the line in the game.
Spanoulis has one Player of the Week honors once before this season.

Boban Marjanovic of Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade has been named Euroleague MVP for Regular Season Round 10.
In his team's 75-99 road win over Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius, Marjanovic had 25 points on 11-of-13 for two-point shooting and was 3 of 4 from the free throw line in less than 18 minutes. He also pulled down 11 rebounds, dished 3 assists, and blocked a shot, adding up to a performance index rating of 33.

Alexis Ajinca is on the verge of a two-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Ajinca is finalizing a buyout with Strabourg of France.
The Pelicans and Strasbourg have agreed on the standard $575,000 buyout under NBA rules.
Ajinca will sign a fully guaranteed two-year deal at the NBA minimum.

Free agent forward Eric Griffin will sign with Ponce of the Puerto Rican league for the Tournament of the Americas, a source told RealGM.
Griffin played for the Miami Heat in summer league and went to training camp with the organization, where he intrigued coaches and players with his athleticism.
