Jeff Green Promises Focus Regardless Of Extension Resolution

Jeff Green hopes to sign a contract extension with the Thunder before the October 31st deadline, which would allow him to avoid becoming a restricted free agent.

But Green will not allow the situation to become a distraction regardless of what happens.

"My focus is going to be off the charts," Green assured. "This is a big year for us."

Evans Not Upset At Colangelo For Nearly Being Traded

Reggie Evans believed he was being traded to Charlotte over the summer in a trade that included Jose Calderon, but he is comfortable remaining with the Raptors as the 10-11 season begins.

?Hey I'm not bitter about it, I?m not bitter at all, it is what it is,? Evans told the Toronto Sun on Tuesday.

?It ain?t like I?m mad, I?m not mad at BC (general manager Bryan Colangelo), it?s a business, I respect the business aspect of it.

?That doesn?t stop me from doing what I?ve got to do on the court or from being professional to my teammates. I?m still going to be like ?what?s up BC?? I don?t really think about it.?

LeBron Doubts He'll Average Triple-Double For 11-12

When Pat Riley met with LeBron James during free agency to pitch him on joining the Heat, Riley said James "sort of lit up and said, `That would be great if I didn't have to score,' that he could be maybe the first since Oscar Robertson to be a triple-double guy."

James, however, is skeptical that he is capable of accomplishing the feat.

"Is it realistic? It's so tough in this day and age," James said this week. "I look up to Big O so much to be able to do that. Unbelievable feat. I don't believe it will ever be matched. It's very intriguing. You would love to make history, but it's not a goal of mine. My goal is to be a triple threat, not to average a triple-double. I know I can do that."

Carmelo Declined To Talk Substantively With Denver GM

Masai Uriji was not able to get anywhere with Carmelo Anthony in their face-to-face meeting on Monday.

"[Anthony] said, 'I'm cool,' and, 'You're going to have to talk to my reps about that,'" said a source who is familiar with the discussion.

As a result of the unproductive meeting with Anthony, the Nuggets are "going to move him, like now, ASAP," according to one source.

Another source said finalizing a trade could take time.

"The Nuggets are going to look at every single trade and they're going to have to work with [Anthony]," said the source. "And that's really going to slow the whole process down."
