The Detroit Pistons would like to re-sign Greg Monroe, who is a restricted free agent.

But the Pistons are amenable to a sign-and-trade deal if his contract gets too exorbitant.

The Portland Trail Blazers, Orlando Magic and Atlanta Hawks are expected to be interested in Monroe in free agency.

The Indiana Pacers have declined to extend a qualifying offer to Evan Turner, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Turner's qualifying offer was worth $8.7 million.

Turner was traded to the Pacers by the Philadelphia 76ers in February and failed to make a meaningful impact.

Turner was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.

The Atlanta Hawks won’t release newly acquired swingman John Salmons on Monday, and sides involved have agreed to extend Salmons’ waiver deadline until July 10, a league source told RealGM.

Salmons had been expected to be waived by the Hawks on Monday due to $1 million of his $7 million contract being guaranteed for next season. The Toronto Raptors had reached agreement on a trade that sent Salmons for Lou Williams and Lucas Nogueira.

The agreement between the parties is pending NBA approval, and the Hawks still aren’t expected to keep the 12-year NBA veteran beyond the new deadline, a source told RealGM.

Salmons played a reserve role for Toronto last season, averaging five points, two assists and 21.4 minutes per game. He has averaged 9.4 points, three rebounds and 2.5 assists in his career.

LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade plan on offering Pat Riley a window to carry out his plan on upgrading their supporting cast, according to sources.

All three players have opted out of their deals to become free agents.

The Heat began their offseason moves by acquiring the draft rights to Shabazz Napier, who James is known to be extremely fond of as a player.

James is also expecting a max contract, while Bosh and Wade will likely sign for less. Wade is expected to take significantly less money.

"Everybody has their [contract] number and has left a little bit of room to let [Riley] maneuver," one source briefed on the contract discussions said.

As one general manager told Yahoo Sports, "Right now, it's clear they're buying time for Riley to go out and hit the market."

Rich Paul has avoided any communication with teams ahead of James' free agency in order to abide by NBA rules on holding talks before the official start period of 12:01 AM on Tuesday.

The Toronto Raptors are in a good position to re-sign Kyle Lowry on a deal that pays him at least $12 million per season, but no deal has been reached.

Lowry became an All-Star caliber point guard this season with the Raptors, though he made appearances in trade discussion reports last December.

The Miami Heat, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers are expected to be the rival teams interested in Lowry.

The San Antonio Spurs will keep forward Austin Daye beyond Monday’s contract guarantee deadline, a league source told RealGM.

Acquired in a trade in February, Daye, 26, averaged 4.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in 14 games for the Spurs.

The Spurs faced deadline on Daye’s contract, and they could have released his partially guaranteed deal by Monday night.

Daye has averaged 5.4 points and 2.7 rebounds over five NBA seasons. He was a first round pick of the Detroit Pistons in 2009. Yahoo Sports first reported that the Spurs were not expected to release Daye.

The Detroit Pistons have declined their team option on Chauncey Billups, who signed a two-year contract last season.

The Dallas Mavericks and Vince Carter have a strong mutual interest to agree upon a new contract, but he is also expected to receive interest from the Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers and Toronto Raptors.

Carter averaged 11.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 24.4 minutes per game last season despite being 37.

The Los Angeles Lakers are interested in Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James, but will not use up their future cap space on another player if they are unable to sign either player.

The Lakers could sign a player such as Luol Deng or Kyle Lowry, but only if they sign a short-term deal that comes off the books in 2016.

The Indiana Pacers are hoping to re-sign Lance Stephenson and will give him the star treatment in their efforts.

The Pacers have produced a movie in Stephenson's honor that will be shown after midnight when free agency begins.

Stephenson is an unrestricted free agent.
