Kings To Put No. 8 Pick On Trade Block

May 20, 2014 10:01 PM

The Sacramento Kings did not move up in the Tuesday's NBA Draft Lottery and will pick No. 8.

But the Kings will put the pick up on the trade block in search of a veteran player ready to contribute immediately instead of wait for a rookie to develop.

The Kings were mentioned in trade rumors for Rajon Rondo before the deadline and Isaiah Thomas will be a restricted free agent.

Dennis Schroeder could be a possible target for the Kings, who were high on him during last year's draft.

Mike Scott and Shelvin Mack discussed their futures with the Atlanta Hawks after exit interviews.

Both players said they hope to re-sign with the Hawks as free agents this offseason.

“I’m just going to leave that to the GM and the coaching staff but of course I want to come back,” Scott said.

“I would like to be back,” Mack said. “I’ll continue to work and improve my game and let my agent and everyone else deal with that. Of course (I want to return). I feel like it’s a great situation for me.”

The Atlanta Hawks unveiled the club’s new secondary logo on Thursday, an evolved interpretation of the iconic and classic team mark that was used from 1972-95.

The new logo will make its worldwide debut on Thursday during the Hawks vs. Pacers First Round Game 6 contest at Philips Arena, as all fans in attendance will receive a red t-shirt featuring the logo.

While the team’s primary logo will remain unchanged, the secondary mark will appear on Hawks clothing, caps and other fan gear.
