Danny Ainge revealed Thursday that Jared Sullinger did not meet any of the Boston Celtics' team-wide conditioning goals this season.

Sullinger is out for the remainder of the season with a foot injury.

“Well, Jared and I have talked a lot about (his conditioning) over the past year,” Ainge said on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Toucher & Rich." “It’s something we take great pride in with our players. Our players have really bought in to our program, and a lot of guys — I think every guy has met the goals that they have set in regards to strength and conditioning, and body fat, and weight, and all the different things our strength coaches do on a regular basis.

“Jared just hasn’t met his goals. He’s not up to the standards that he wants and is not up to the standards that we think are in his best interests for the long-term health of his career. He’s not up to par to the standards that we feel are necessary to be a consistent winning player and play with great conditioning.”

The Boston Celtics reneged on a promise to agree upon a buyout with Tayshaun Prince, according to a source.

The Celtics instead traded Prince to the Detroit Pistons.

The Los Angeles Clippers were one of the teams interested in signing Prince if he became a free agent.

Jared Sullinger has sustained a left metatarsal stress fracture in his foot and will be out for the remainder of the 2014-15 regular season.

Sullinger averaged 14.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 28.7 minutes per game in his third NBA season.

Sullinger also had a PER of 18.25.

Jared Sullinger is out indefinitely with a left forefoot stress injury.

Sullinger told reporters in Sacramento that he suffered the injury during Boston's final game before the All-Star break.

X-Rays performed on Thursday confirmed the stress injury.

"He's not going to play on this trip, and I don't anticipate him playing any time soon," head coach Brad Stevens told reporters in Sacramento.

The Boston Celtics traded for Isaiah Thomas from the Phoenix Suns for the 2016 first round pick the team had previously acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Thomas is on the first year of a four-year, $27 million deal.

The Celtics also had interest in Thomas last year when exploring a Rajon Rondo trade with the Sacramento Kings.

The Phoenix Suns are pursuing trades outside the preferred list of Goran Dragic, which is believed to feature the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat.

The Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings have aggressively discussed trade scenarios for Dragic with the Suns.

The Kings, however, are becoming increasingly hesitant about dealing for Dragic due to concerns he wouldn't re-sign in the offseason.

Both the Kings and Rockets have been warned that Dragic will not re-sign.

The Suns are seeking a package built around a young player with significant potential, as well as one or two first round picks.

Goran Dragic prefers a trade to the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks or Miami Heat, but the Phoenix Suns are much more focused on holding discussions with the Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings.

Dragic will be a free agent this offseason and both the Knicks and Lakers will have cap space to make a four-year, max offer.

Dragic can only receive a five-year contract from the team that he finishes the 14-15 season with.

"I don't trust them any more," said Dragic on Wednesday to Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic in reference to the Suns' front office.

Reggie Jackson's agent has requested a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder before the deadline.

CAA’s Aaron Mintz made the request in the past seven to 10 days.

Jackson will be a restricted free agent in the offseason.

Sam Presti has made no commitment to moving Jackson, but has been willing to gauge the market and listen to pitches on potential deals as always, sources said.

Jackson’s role has been diminished, especially since the arrival of Dion Waiters in a January trade. Jackson has averaged 12.4 points, 4.2 assists and four rebounds for the Thunder this season.

Chris Broussard of ESPN reports the Indiana Pacers, Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets are all interested in Jackson.

The Boston Celtics have emerged as a contender for Goran Dragic.

Danny Ainge and the Celtics have enough assets to make a trade offer for Dragic.

The Celtics, Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets are not reportedly on Dragic's list of preferred teams, but all three appear willing to gamble on being able to re-sign him.

Ryan McDonough worked in the Celtics' front office before joining the Suns as general manager.

Tayshaun Prince is unlikely to be traded by the Boston Celtics before the deadline. If a trade is not found, Prince is a likely buyout candidate.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers figure to be strong contenders for Prince, according to sources.

Prince remains capable of providing solid minutes off the bench.
