Nets Waive Jarrett Jack

The Brooklyn Nets have waived Jarrett Jack.

The Nets attempted to trade away Jack before his contract for 16-17 became guaranteed. Brooklyn must pay only $500,000 of his salary.

Jack is recovering from a torn ACL.

Jack played in 112 games over two seasons with Brooklyn, posting averages of 12.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 29.2 minutes per game. 

Jack can be claimed into a team's cap space for $6.3 million.

The Dallas Mavericks have secured a meeting with Mike Conley for July 1st.

Dallas has made Conley one of their top priorities in free agency.

The Memphis Grizzlies can sign Conley to a five-year deal while rival teams like the Mavericks can only offer four-year deals. Conley is seeking the fifth year from the Grizzlies.

The Mavericks largely played Deron Williams and J.J. Barea at point guard last season.

The Houston Rockets, New Orleans Pelicans, Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers are also interested in Conley.

The Atlanta Hawks would like to re-sign Kent Bazemore but he'll receive significant interest in free agency.

The Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets are three teams that will pursue Bazemore.

Bazemore has emerged as a productive two-way wing over the past two seasons with the Hawks.

Bazemore began his career with the Golden State Warriors.

Allen Crabbe is expected to receive interest in free agency from the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings.

The Portland Trail Blazers own Crabbe's matching rights and they are interested in re-signing him.

Crabbe was the 31st overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft out of Cal.

Crabbe had a breakout 15-16 season, scoring 14.2 points per 36 minutes with a True Shooting Percentage of .572 in 26.0 minutes per game.

Nets Shopping Jarrett Jack Ahead Of Buyout Deadline

The Brooklyn Nets are making Jarrett Jack available in trade talks ahead of his buyout date on Thursday.

The Nets plan to waive Jack if they are unable to trade him to save $6 million on their cap.

Jack tore his ACL in January and has been rehabbing with the hope of being ready for the start of training camp.

Al Horford To Receive Interest From Lakers, Rockets, Magic, Pistons, Wizards, Celtics, Nets

The Atlanta Hawks will compete to re-sign Al Horford with the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons, Washington Wizards, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets.

Horford is a free agent for the first time in his career.

The Hawks can offer Horford a fifth season and more lucrative raises than any rival team. Atlanta's offseason goal appear to be to re-sign Horford and Kent Bazemore.

Horford has been an All-Star in each of the past two seasons.

Sergio Rodriguez Considering NBA Return, Could Sign With Nets

Sergio Rodriguez is considering a return to the NBA and the Brooklyn Nets are considered the favorites.

Rodriguez was the 27th overall pick by the Phoenix Suns in 2006 who traded his rights to the Portland Trail Blazers. Rodriguez spent three seasons with the Blazers before then playing for the Sacramento Kings and New York Knicks.

Since 2010, Rodriguez has had a successful run with Real Madrid in the ACB.

Pacers Acquire Thaddeus Young From Nets For 20th Overall Pick

The Brooklyn Nets have traded Thaddeus Young to the Indiana Pacers for the 20th overall pick and a future second rounder.

The Nets re-signed Young last offseason on a four-year, $50 million deal.

The Pacers previously acquired Jeff Teague this week.

Indiana parted ways with Frank Vogel this offseason and elevated Nate McMillan to head coach. The Pacers now project to have a starting five of Teague, Monta Ellis, Paul George, Young and Myles Turner.
