Jan 31, 2007 10:51 AM

Reports out of Charlotte have the Pistons showing interest in Brevin Knight.

The Pistons have long had interest in Knight, going back to last season. But there haven't been any new talks.

The 5-10 Knight makes $4.4 million this season and has a team option for $4.2 million next season. The Pistons, in the past, had talked about dealing Dale Davis ($3.5 million) and Flip Murray ($1.7 million) to the Bobcats.

The Pistons have reportedly given up on trying to deal Davis, instead focusing on Nazr Mohammed.

McInnis Set To Face Nets

Jan 17, 2007 7:10 AM

Jeff McInnis is happy to be out of New Jersey and happy to have a role with an NBA team that needs him. He'd also be happy to show former teammates he can still make a big shot or a big stop.

But revenge isn't on his agenda for tonight's Bobcats-Nets game.

"They did me a favor. I wanted to go,'' McInnis said, sounding ambivalent, rather than bitter. "Sure, I want to beat them. It'd be fun to talk some (trash) to my friends. But as far as Coach Frank, I don't have anything against him.''

McInnis Ejected After Being Left Off Game Roster

Jan 14, 2007 1:52 AM

A rare scorekeeping error caused Charlotte guard Jeff McInnis to be ejected in the first quarter of the Bobcats' game against Philadelphia on Saturday.

A Bobcats employee turned in an official roster before the game that did not include McInnis as an active player. McInnis was acquired in a trade from New Jersey on Jan. 4 and Saturday was Charlotte's first home game since the deal.

McInnis entered the game with 3:15 left in the first quarter. The 76ers called attention to the error eight seconds later during a break in play after a foul was called.

Referee Dick Bavetta called an official timeout and players from both teams went to the bench for several minutes before it was announced the Bobcats were called for a technical foul and McInnis was ejected.

Bobcats coach Bernie Bickerstaff looked at the incorrect roster before slamming it to the table and walking back to the bench.

Okafor Swats 10 Shots In 'Cats Rout Of Knicks

Jan 12, 2007 11:28 PM

Emeka Okafor had 20 points and a career-high 10 blocked shots, Derek Anderson scored 29 points, and the Bobcats snapped the New York Knicks' three-game winning streak with a 126-110 victory Friday night.

Matt Carroll added 23 points, but also grabbed the rebound on the final missed shot of the game. The Bobcats desperately wanted Okafor to get it so he could have the first triple-double of his career.

"I had no idea," Carroll said. "I feel bad now. If I would have known, I definitely would have let him have that one. He's more of a rebounder than me anyway, so I don't get in trouble if I don't rebound that much."
