According to new Bobcats forward Adam Morrison, there was not a better fit out there for him than Charlotte.
"I just like a little more quiet, laid back city," Morrison said. "It fits my personality and it's a basketball city."

The Charlotte Bobcats are picking up the third-season options on Raymond Felton's and Sean May's rookie contracts, and making qualifying offers to restricted free agents Melvin Ely and Bernard Robinson.
This guarantees Felton nearly $3.3 million for the 2007-08 season and May more than $1.8 million.
The Charlotte Bobcats are likely done with player auditions ahead of next week's NBA draft, the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell is reporting.
The Bobcats brought back Connecticut's Rudy Gay on Thursday for a second workout and there's a slight chance Gonzaga's Adam Morrison or Italian pro Andrea Bargnani will come to Charlotte between now and Tuesday.
However, the Bobcats have no plans to reschedule Texas' LaMarcus Aldridge, Louisiana State's Tyrus Thomas or Washington's Brandon Roy, after those three cancelled auditions originally set for Thursday.
Bobcats coach-general manager Bernie Bickerstaff wouldn't say whether he'd draft someone he hadn't worked out here, a standard practice when making such a high pick. Bickerstaff said Gay did nothing to hurt his chances of being the Bobcats' pick.
"He's been working out five of the last six days," Bickerstaff said of Gay, a 6-foot-8 small forward. "I thought he worked out well, considering that."
One league executive who is friends with Larry Brown said that he could foresee the ousted Knicks' coach joining Michael Jordan with the Charlotte Bobcats.
"If Larry is looking for a comfortable exit to his career, Charlotte would be it," the team executive said.
Dean Smith might also join the organization as a consultant.
The Charlotte Bobcats were dismayed to learn that three of the prospects that they were considering with their third pick in the draft are cancelling their workouts with the team this week.
LaMarcus Aldridge, Tyrus Thomas and Brandon Roy have all cancelled their workouts with the team.
"Bottom line, we're just not happy with the way things went down," said GM Bernie Bickerstaff of the cancellations.
LaMarcus Aldridge's next stop for pre-draft workouts will be with the Charlotte Bobcats on Thursday, and according to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer Tyrus Thomas may follow suit.
Thomas and Aldridge -- this draft's top two big men -- hope to be gone with the first two picks before the Bobcats' third slot. Sources indicate the Chicago Bulls are quite interested in Thomas. Aldridge could be a good complement to Chris Bosh for Toronto, which holds the top pick.
The most likely scenario is the Bobcats picking among wing players Adam Morrison of Gonzaga, Rudy Gay of Connecticut and Brandon Roy of Washington. However, the Bobcats are also trying to bring in forward Andrea Bargnani.
Gay and Roy are scheduled for workouts here Thursday (Gay for a second look) and the Bobcats still hope to bring back Morrison for a second workout.
Today on RealGM Radio, hosts Aaron Bronsteter and James Gould were joined by Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com, who stated that the Bobcats are interested in trading the third pick in the NBA Draft for the top pick in the draft along with the contract of ailing point guard Alvin Williams.
After many failed attempts at previous ownership in the NBA, Michael Jordan has finally landed with the Charlotte Bobcats as a part-owner. Jordan's investment makes him second to only Bob Johnson in the Bobcats' organization.
"Ever since I acquired the Bobcats franchise, one of my goals has been to get Michael Jordan to become my partner in operating the team," Johnson said. "I don't think I have to make the case for Michael's basketball expertise, his knowledge or his competitiveness as a player.
"I am very excited to have a native North Carolinian be a part of the Bobcats and excited to have a friend of mine -- who I have absolute confidence in -- oversee our basketball personnel decision making process."
According to DraftExpress.com, the Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Bobcats are talking about a trade where the top pick in the draft goes to Charlotte along with Alvin Williams for the third pick and Brevin Knight.
It is being suggested that teams are looking to move up to the top spot to select Adam Morrison.
Both the Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers, amongst other teams, have been talking with Charlotte Bobcats' coach-general manager Bernie Bickerstaff about point guard Brevin Knight at the Orlando Pre-Draft Camp, the Charlotte Observer is reporting.
"There's a lot of interest in Brevin," Bickerstaff told the Observer on Thursday. "Most of the conversation includes him.''
Knight is considered expendable with the emergence of last season's lottery pick Raymond Felton.
"If I'm going to play just a little bit of minutes, I'd rather be on a playoff team," Knight said during the season. "So if (the situation) changes, we'd address that."
Bickerstaff did say that Knight will be able to have some input on any trade, but will not be given the power to veto a deal should one arise.
"He doesn't have veto power," Bickerstaff said. "But I wouldn't just throw him in a situation that wouldn't be right for his skills."
