Jeremy Lin Was Interested In Returning To Knicks In Offseason

Oct 17, 2015 4:47 PM

Jeremy Lin was open to returning to the New York Knicks this offseason and had his agent reach out to the team.

“There was no conversation other than them telling me they weren’t interested,” said Lin.

Lin signed a two-year, $4.3 million contract with the Charlotte Hornets, which was a significant pay cut from the $25 million deal he signed with the Houston Rockets back in 2012.

“I’ve always been open to it, ever since I, you know, I don’t want to say I necessarily left, ever since (they decided they didn’t want to re-sign me),” Lin said. “But I’ve always been open to it. But I don’t think they’re as open to it."

Lance Stephenson Feels Hornets Misused His Game

Oct 12, 2015 6:27 PM

Lance Stephenson is excited for his fresh start with the Los Angeles Clippers after a disappointing season with the Charlotte Hornets.

The Hornets signed Stephenson in free agency and he expected to dominate the ball, but the team was still built around Kemba Walker on the perimeter.

“I don’t feel that,” he said. “I was just sitting in the corner. That’s not trying to be a star. A star normally gets the ball.”

Stephenson feels like he was misused.

“I think the way they wanted me to be a star isn’t the way my game is,” he said.

Doc Rivers is attempting to find Stephenson's game again.

“I’ve got the ball in my hands. We’re moving; we’re screening for each other. Everybody touches the ball in this unit,” said Stephenson. “Anything can happen.”
