The Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers enter the All-Star break as the only three teams in the NBA ranked in the top-10 in both offense and defense.

Fourteen other teams are in the top-10 in either offensive or defensive efficiency.

The Chicago Bulls ranked second in defensive efficiency last season and 28th on offense, but they are currently 9th on offense and just 13th on defense.

Teams that contend for a championship in the NBA typically are in the top-10 in both categories, or are particularly dominant on one end of the floor.

The current top-10 in efficiency differential consists of the Warriors, Hawks, Clippers, Mavericks, Blazers, Grizzlies, Raptors, Spurs, Rockets and Cavaliers.

The old/young distinction is based on the average age of players who play 15 or more minutes per game.

The Charlotte Hornets have acquired Mo Williams and Troy Daniels from the Minnestoa Timberwolves for Gary Neal,

League sources previously told RealGM that they were on the verge of an agreement.

The Hornets need help at point guard with Kemba Walker injured. Williams is averaging 12.2 points and 6.4 assists per game this season for the Wolves.

The Wolves will attempt to flip Neal in another trade before the deadline, sources tell RealGM.

Bismack Biyombo will miss at least an additional two weeks with a bone bruise on his right knee.

Biyombo likely won’t participate in practices the second half of next week following the All-Star break.

Biyombo has missed the last five games for the Charlotte Hornets.

The Charlotte Hornets have signed Elliot Williams to a 10-day contract and waived Jannero Pargo.  

Williams joins the Hornets from the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA D-League, becoming the 30th Gatorade Call-Up this season.  He will wear No. 4. 

The Hornets roster remains at 15 players.

The Charlotte Hornets are expected to sign Elliot Williams to a 10-day contract from the D-League.

Williams recently had two 10-day contracts with the Utah Jazz.

Williams averaged 3.6 points in 8.4 minutes over five games with the Jazz. Williams played 67 games last season with the Philadelphia 76ers.
