Mavericks Sign Salah Mejri

The Dallas Mavericks have signed center Salah Mejri.

Mejri (7-2, 235) played in 34 games with Real Madrid last season and averaged 4.3 points and 2.1 rebounds in 8.6 minutes on the way to winning the Spanish League title. He increased those averages to 5.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 10.3 minutes in eight Euroleague games as Real Madrid went on to also capture the Euroleague Championship with a win over Greek-power Olympiacos in the final game.

A native of Jendouba, Tunisia, Mejri was a member of the Tunisian National Team that competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The team secured its bid to the London Olympics by winning the 2011 FIBA African Championships where Mejri was named Most Valuable Player.

Knicks Tried To Negotiate With Maurice Ndour After His Agreement With Mavs

The New York Knicks attempted to negotiate with Maurice Ndour even after he reached a verbal agreement to sign with the Dallas Mavericks.

Dallas offered the undrafted Ohio University forward a fully guaranteed deal for more than the $600,000 rookie free-agent minimum, with a second year partially guaranteed.

The Knicks offered Ndour less than a $200,000 guarantee.

Ndour had an impressive Summer League with the Knicks.

The Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks are expected to pursue Mike Miller.

Miller was traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Portland Trail Blazers and he'll be waived.

The Cavs' trade of Miller "was right thing to do" according to a LeBron James' source. Miller was previously waived by the Miami Heat in a tax-savings move that angered James.

Jamil Wilson Signing With Mavs

Free agent forward Jamil Wilson has agreed to a partially guaranteed contract with the Dallas Mavericks, league sources told RealGM.

Wilson, a second-year pro out of Marquette, will sign his deal on Monday. The 6-foot-7 product averaged 7.4 points and 3.2 rebounds for the Washington Wizards in five summer league games this month.

Wilson played three seasons at Marquette after transferring from Oregon. He went unselected in the 2014 NBA draft, joining the Phoenix Suns on a training camp deal last October.

The Dallas Mavericks have reached agreement with undrafted Arizona forward Brandon Ashley on a partially guaranteed multi-year contract, league sources told RealGM.

Ashley, 6-foot-9, averaged 10.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists over seven games for the Atlanta Hawks’ summer league entry in Las Vegas this month.

Ashley declared for the NBA Draft after his junior season at Arizona, where he averaged 12.2 points and 5.2 rebounds in 2014-15.

Maurice NDour Signs With Mavericks

Maurice NDour has agreed to sign with the Dallas Mavericks.

Ndour played in the Summer League with the New York Knicks, but the Mavericks offered more guaranteed money.

Ndour spent two years at Monroe College where he was a two-time National Junior College Athletic Association All-Region selection before transferring to Ohio University. In his first season at Ohio, Ndour averaged 13.8 points and 7.0 rebounds while starting 31 of his 36 games. As a senior for the Bobcats, he increased those averages to 16.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game on his way to being named All-Mid-American Conference Second Team.

Free agent shooting guard John Jenkins has agreed to a three-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks, league sources told RealGM.

In Jenkins, the Mavericks will have a high-upside signing, an active wing defender and shooter. According to Synergy Sports, Jenkins made 44 percent of his spot ups and 52 percent of his off-screen field goal attempts last season.

Jenkins, 24, was the 23rd overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Vanderbilt by the Atlanta Hawks.

Jenkins has averaged 14.6 points per 36 minutes over 98 career NBA games.

Jarrid Famous Agrees Upon Three-Year Deal With Mavs

Free agent center Jarrid Famous has reached agreement on a partially guaranteed three-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks, league sources told RealGM.

Famous, a skilled 6-foot-11 product, will join the Mavericks with a chance to make the regular-season roster after an impressive summer league with the Washington Wizards. The 27-year-old received significant interest overseas before his agreement with Dallas.

Famous' agent, Daniel Hazan of Hazan Sports Management, committed to the Wizards' summer league invite after a deal in the Philippines — and now has secured his client a contract to return to the NBA.

In four games in Las Vegas this month, Famous averaged 12.8 points, 8.3 rebounds and 57.7 percent shooting from the field. Before summer league, Famous scored 31.1 points and grabbed 24.3 rebounds a night over seven games in the Philippine Basketball Association.

The Mavericks held Famous' D-League rights in 2014-15, when he averaged 18.1 points, 14.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 17 games for the Texas Legends.

An active finisher, Famous has played in training camps for the Indiana Pacers (2011) and Memphis Grizzlies (2012). He went unselected in the 2011 NBA draft out of South Florida.
