Draft Rights to Eduardo Najera, the #9 pick in the Second Round of the 2000 NBA Draft, were acquired by the Dallas Mavericks from the Houston Rockets on June 28, 2000. Eduardo Najera signed a multi-year contract with the Dallas Mavericks on July 7, 2000. Eduardo Najera re-signed to a multi-year contract as a free agent with the Dallas Mavericks on September 28, 2002.

Draft Rights to Dirk Nowitzki, the #9 pick in the First Round of the 1998 NBA Draft, were acquired by the Dallas Mavericks from the Milwaukee Bucks on June 24, 1998.
