Reggie Jackson was booed loudly in his first game at the Oklahoma City Thunder since he was traded to the Detroit Pistons.

Jackson had 15 points, five rebounds and four assists in 27 minutes.

"I knew what time it was when I got in," Jackson said of the crowd reaction. "I'm not really tripping. It doesn't bother me.

"I kind of love to be hated. It's flattering. I think it's the greatest kind of love. It's love and spite at the same time. They wouldn't boo me if I didn't do anything to build some memories here, so obviously, if they booed me, that means I did something special."

The Thunder traded Jackson last February a few months after they were unable to agree upon a contract extension.

The Detroit Pistons and Andre Drummond agreed to not sign an extension before the Nov. 2nd deadline in order to preserve cap space for 2016.

"Andre really, really wants to win," Stan Van Gundy said. "We laid out the difference of where we'd be salary-cap wise. It's almost $13 million. He wants us and [Pistons owner] Tom [Gores] to have all the resources to build this thing. He wants to be part of a winner."

Drummond intends to re-sign with the Pistons.

"I love it here. I plan on being here," Drummond said.

Andre Drummond and James Harden have been named the NBA Players of the Week for games played between Nov. 2nd and Nov. 8th.

Drummond helped the Pistons to a 2-1 week behind averages of 22.0 points (fourth in the East) and a league-leading 24.3 rebounds. Drummond also won the award during the previous week.

Harden led the Rockets to a 4-0 week behind a league-best 38.5 points. He also chipped in with 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.5 steals. 

Following on the precedent set last season by Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs, both the Detroit Pistons and Andre Drummond and the Washington Wizards with Bradley Beal have delayed extensions to presumably preserve cap space.

"It's against the rules," said an unnamed executive who described it as a cap circumvention.

Both the player and team assume some risk in delaying an extension. The player can suffer a catastrophic injury and lose his market value, while the team can be stuck with the player signing an offer sheet with another team.

The motive for delaying an extension is that the player's cap hold is significantly lower than the first year of their new deal would be.

Stephen Curry and Andre Drummond have been named the NBA's Players of the Week for games played between Oct. 27th and Nov. 1st.

Curry finished the week with a PER of 53.4, while Drummond had a mark of 23.5.

Drummond posted a point-rebound double-double in each game, leading the Pistons to an NBA-tying-best 3-0 record behind averages of 18.7 points and 16.3 rebounds. He also added 2.0 blocks per game.
