April 2012 Golden State Warriors Wiretap
Carl Landy and the Warriors have reached agreement on a two-year, $8 million deal.
Landry signed a one-year deal with the Hornets last offseason.
Landry will presumably backup David Lee at the power forward position.
The Warriors have reached an agreement with Draymond Green on a three-year, $2.6 million agreement.
Golden State holds the option on the third season with $250,000 of the $900,000 guaranteed.
Green was the 35th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
Josh Howard has narrowed his list of potential landing spots to Brooklyn, New York, Utah, Indiana and Golden State and is expected to soon make a decision.
An unrestricted free agent, Howard averaged 8.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 43 games for the Jazz last season.
The Warriors have signed Kent Bazemore to a two-year, partially guaranteed contract.
Bazemore averaged 10.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 2.00 steals and 2.33 blocks in 27.0 minutes during the final three Summer League games.
Bazemore was named Colonial Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Year in both his junior and senior seasons.
There are seven NBA teams that have never had a luxury tax payment since it came into existence with the 1999 collective bargaining agreement.
The Bulls, Warriors, Clippers, Wizards, Bobcats, Hornets and Sonics/Thunder have always been on the receiving end of tax distributions.
While the Clippers, Wizards and Hornets have taken on salary during the 2012 offseason and the Thunder face tax issues if James Harden and Serge Ibaka are signed to new deals, the Bulls and Warriors continue to be tax conscious in their decision-making.
Golden State has just one playoff appearance over that stretch.
