The Golden State Warriors have waived Hilton Armstrong.

Armstrong was previously waived by the Warriors in December and later re-signed following a stint in the D-League.

Armstrong signed two 10-day contracts with the Warriors and then was signed for the remainder of the season.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are currently engaged in serious Kevin Love talks with only the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Golden State Warriors and Chicago Bulls have previously been in touch with the Wolves on a trade, but their respective offers aren't as competitive.

The Bulls are pessimistic about their chances and aren't inclined to significantly alter the construction of their team.

Andrew Wiggins is not eligible to be dealt until Aug. 23 after signing his rookie contract last week, but numerous league insiders expect a trade to be a matter of when instead of if.

Klay Thompson expects to remain with the Golden State Warriors next season.

The Warriors have engaged the Minnesota Timberwolves in Kevin Love trade talks, but have excluded Thompson from the talks.

"We got a good core. I feel we have one of the better backcourts in the league," Thompson said.

"I feel like we have a team that can do big things. Health is going to be huge, but I feel like we can make big strides this year.

"The fact that I haven't been traded yet makes me feel comfortable. That speaks for itself."

"Every year there is some rumor in play and teams are trying to make a power move," Stephen Curry said. "But they've made a decision, at least it seems like they have, that Klay is an investment they don't want to give up. That speaks volumes to what he has been able to do in his career and his potential. I'm happy that he's my backcourt mate."

The Cleveland Cavaliers' offer for Kevin Love is presently higher on the Minnesota Timberwolves' wish list than any other team's. 

The Chicago Bulls are also interested in Love, while the Golden State Warriors remain involved. The Cavaliers have seemed most motivated to complete a trade, as the Warriors have held Klay Thompson out of talks and the Bulls initially pursued Carmelo Anthony in free agency.

The Cavaliers are offering Andrew Wiggins, though he now can't be traded before Aug. 23. 

Wolves' owner Glen Taylor is now believed to prefer Wiggins over Thompson.

Love initially had the Warriors and Bulls atop his wish list, but the arrival of LeBron James has put the Cavaliers on equal footing.

The Chicago Bulls have entered the Kevin Love trade talks with a package offered to the Minnesota Timberwolves believed to be centered around Taj Gibson and Jimmy Butler.

The Bulls shelved their interest in Love while pursuing Carmelo Anthony.

The Bulls and Golden State Warriors were intially believed to be Love's preferred destinations, but he's now interested in the Cleveland Cavaliers following their signing of LeBron James.

The Cavaliers remain the favorites to trade for Love, offering Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a future first round pick. The Warriors have remained determined not to trade Klay Thompson in a deal for Love.

Cleveland is increasingly optimistic that a deal will be accepted by the Wolves.

Brandon Rush has agreed upon a two-year deal with the Golden State Warriors.

Rush will hold a player option for the second season of the deal.

Rush was previously with the Warriors before his trade last offseason to the Utah Jazz.

RealGM's Shams Charania reports that Rush's deal is worth $2.5 million over two seasons.

The Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves have continued their Kevin Love trade discussions.

But the Warriors remain unwilling to include Klay Thompson in a deal.

Sources say Glen Taylor and Joe Lacob have maintained a level of dialogue and that a deal would be done by now if the Warriors relented on including Thompson, which has been at the behest of Steve Kerr.

The Warriors, however, now have competition in trading for Love from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Baron Davis has been training and hopes to make a return to the NBA this season.

Davis said the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors would be the best fits and that he could play 15 to 20 minutes per game.

Davis suffered a torn ACL and MCL in the 2012 NBA Playoffs while with the New York Knicks.

Davis previously played for both the Clippers and Warriors.

The Golden State Warriors considered Brandon Bass among other players with their traded player exception that expired at the end of Thursday.

The Warriors acquired the TPE last season in their trade with the Utah Jazz.

The Boston Celtics have been shopping Bass for the better part of the last year.

The Golden State Warriors have no intention on improving their offer for Kevin Love, even with expected interest coming from the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Warriors are withholding Klay Thompson from their trade offer for Love, instead offering David Lee and Harrison Barnes.

Steve Kerr likes the Warriors' current roster and wants to see Thompson paired with Stephen Curry moving forward.

The Warriors would only want concessions from the Wolves if they were to even consider trading for Thompson.
