Shayne Whittington Assigned To D-League By Pacers

Shayne Whittington has been assigned to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League by the Indiana Pacers.

Whittington has played in 13 games for the Pacers this season with averages of 2.0 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.

Whittington was undrafted out of Western Michigan and signed as a free agent, July 2, 2014.

Average NBA Franchise Valuation Now More Than $1 Billion

The average NBA franchise valuation is now a record $1.1 billion.

There are now 11 NBA teams worth at least $1 billion, compared to three a year ago.

The Los Angeles Lakers lead the way at $2.6 billion, up 93% over last year. 

The value of the New York Knicks shot up 79% to $2.5 billion, ranking the team second overall.

Rounding out the top five are the Chicago Bulls ($2 billion), Boston Celtics ($1.7 billion) and Los Angeles Clippers ($1.6 billion).

Frank Vogel continues to say Paul George still isn't expected back this season for the Indiana Pacers, but he is taking part in light non-contract basketball drills.

George underwent surgery in August for a compound fracture of the tibia and fibula after being injured in the Team USA Showcase in Las Vegas.

The Pacers are just two games out of the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
