Austin Daye agreed to sign with the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, but he also received interest from the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers.

Steve Nash is not ready to predict when he will retire from the NBA.
"I don't really want to think about it," Nash said.
"I want to concentrate on this season and have a great season and then next year I'll worry about next year. After that there's a chance I could keep playing, but I'm totally open to not playing or playing again and I don't really want to predict. I just want to concentrate on the now and worry about the future when it arrives."
Nash will turn 40 in February of next year.
"It's coming along nicely," Nash said of his health. "I'm not 100 percent, but it's getting close. In the next two months for sure, but I imagine in the next two to three weeks I'll be 100 percent and that gives me another month [before training camp] to get even better. The fortunate thing about it is it's been mostly a nerve situation I'm dealing with and nerves take time, but I've been able to work around it and work to strengthen different areas. So, it's not like I've been waiting and waiting for something to heal. I've been waiting in one respect for the nerves to settle down, but I've also been strengthening in other areas and I've been on the court, too. So, I had a really good summer."
The Los Angeles Lakers figure to struggle to even reach the playoffs next season due to the departure of Dwight Howard and the uncertainty of Kobe Bryant's return from a torn Achilles' tendon.
Some have pondered whether the Lakers should focus on 2014 and be in a position to have a high draft pick.
"You know that's not our plan. Our plan was to bring back Dwight Howard and that would have sky-rocketed our payroll," Kupchak said. "That's never a plan here with our fan base, to throw in the towel before the season begins. We always try to win, and that's what we're going to do this year.
"We have challenges. There's no doubt. We don't know when Kobe's coming back, and we don't know what level he's going to come back at, although we're optimistic. Everything's good with Steve [Nash]. Pau [Gasol] should be fine. We've added some athleticism. We're hopefully putting ourselves in position where we can compete in every game."
Mitch Kupchak conducted his first interview since Dwight Howard decided to leave the Los Angeles Lakers to sign with the Houston Rockets.
"It wasn't a surprise. I had a feeling that Houston was a frontrunner, and whenever a player is an unrestricted free agent, anything can happen," Kupchak said. "Clearly, we wanted to keep him here in Los Angeles, and I felt we did everything we could do within reason to show we did want to keep him here.
"Until the end, I kept up hope. I think we were as persistent as we could be within reason. I wasn't shocked but I was disappointed."
The Los Angeles Lakers announced on Monday that they have hired Kurt Rambis and Johnny Davis as assistant coaches.
Both hires have been expected.
"Kurt and Johnny bring many years of NBA experience both as coaches and as former players to this team,” Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni said in a statement. “Kurt is a great basketball mind, extremely good at working with big men and his experience as a head coach in this league is going to prove very helpful to our staff.
"Johnny is a two-time NBA head coach with years of experience playing as well as coaching in this league. The vast array of NBA knowledge he brings to the table will be invaluable to us.”
Elias Harris has agreed to a two-yera deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Harris' deal with the Lakers includes a guarantee in the first season.
Harris went undrafted after playing for Gonzaga.
The Miami Heat are currently scheduled to open the season on October 29 at home against the Chicago Bulls.
The NBA always begins the season with the defending champions.
The Heat currently are scheduled to play at the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day.
The NBA has yet to finalize its 13-14 schedule, but those games are appearing on the draft circulating to teams.
Carmelo Anthony was asked by paparazzi in Hollywood about the possibility of signing with the Los Angeles Lakers next offseason.
Anthony has an early termination option on his contract with the New York Knicks in 2014 and was asked if he could see himself in a "purple and gold outfit."
"Uh, I doubt it," Anthony answered. "It's not a outfit, though."
"I'm reading between the lines, dude," said the paparazzi. "I think I'm going to see you in one soon."
"I don't think you should read between the lines," Anthony replied. "I don't think you should do that. It's not good to read between the lines."
Paul George is eligible for an extension with the Indiana Pacers through Oct. 31.
The Pacers plan to make George a "major" offer.
George, a native of the Los Angeles area, could be a target of the Los Angeles Lakers in 2014 if he becomes a restricted free agent.
"Everywhere I go [in L.A.] they say, 'We want you here. Don't sign with the Pacers,' " George said. "I hear that constantly. It's getting a little repetitive … but I'm getting used to it.
"I understand it. I can't really be mad about it. It's a great feeling when people in the stands really want you."
George became an All-Star last season.
"I'm happy to be in Indiana," George said. "I'm happy to be where I am. If I was going to leave Indiana and come to the Lakers, it just wouldn't be a smart move for me. We got a great thing going right now."
A source told ESPN's Marc Stein that a max extension is a "foregone conclusion."
