- The draft rights to Nicolas Batum was acquired by the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for the draft rights to Darrell Arthur and the draft rights to Joey Dorsey. The draft rights to Darrell Arthur was acquired by the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for the draft rights to Donte Greene and a 2009 2nd round pick (MEM own). The draft rights to Joey Dorsey, the draft rights to Donte Greene and a 2009 2nd round pick (MEM own) were acquired by the Houston Rockets in exchange for the draft rights to Nicolas Batum.
- The Memphis Grizzlies selected Kevin Love in Round 1 with Pick 5 in the 2008 NBA Draft.
