Randolph Prepared To Join Gasol's Team Abroad

Sep 27, 2011 11:07 AM

If the NBA regular season doesn't begin on time, Zach Randolph has interest in going overseas to play.

Randolph would prefer to join whichever team Marc Gasol decides to play for.

"I'm going to wait and see what's going on Nov. 1," Randolph said. "That's when I'll make a decision. And then I'm going to see what Marc is doing. I'd like to go wherever he goes. I'd want to talk to him and stick with my big fella."

Zach Randolph Gives Hunter His Full Support

Sep 27, 2011 11:05 AM

Zach Randolph is willing to miss the 11-12 NBA season rather than have the union accept a bad deal.

Randolph signed a $66 million extension toward the end of the 10-11 season.

"If that's a sacrifice we have to make (in order) to make it better for the future then, yeah, I'm OK with it," Randolph said in a telephone interview. "I'm definitely prepared financially."

Randolph is continuing to support NBPA executive director Billy Hunter.

"I sent a text to Billy Hunter two weeks ago and told him he has my full support," Randolph said. "I'm definitely supporting the union. And we all should. This is something I've never been through so it's frustrating, but all of the players should stick together."

Marc Gasol Would Only Sign In Europe If NBA Cancels Season

Sep 19, 2011 11:46 AM

Marc Gasol helped Spain win the 2011 EuroBasket and now has his eyes on re-signing with the Grizzlies.

"I grew up in Memphis. I feel like it's my home," Gasol said.

"They always say it's a business and there are bad sides to the business. We have to wait until it plays out. But I'm looking forward to something good happening."

The Grizzlies will have the ability to match any offer sheet Gasol could sign with another team.

Gasol won't look to sign in Europe unless the 11-12 NBA season is canceled.

"I might just go back to Spain and wait. But I don't know yet," Gasol said. "Players want to play. We love to compete. If the season is cancelled, I would really have to look for a team for one year."
