Brad Miller plans to retire following the current season.

The Wolves hold a $5.1 million team option on Miller's contract for the 12-13 season.

“For anyone that is listening, I’m going to retire after this season,” Miller said. “It’s time to concentrate on ‘Country Boys.’ I’m done.”

'Country Boys Outdoors' is a television program on the Sportsman Channel in which Miller stars.

Portland also would have been involved with Derek Fisher and Jamal Crawford being other trade components.

The Lakers responded by agreeing to trade Fisher to the Rockets.

The Wolves had a three-team trade close to completion that would have resulted in the acquisition of Jamal Crawford and Derek Fisher.

The Lakers would have received Michael Beasley.

The Magic are in trade talks with the Wolves centered around Jason Richardson, according to sources.

Richardson re-signed with the Magic during the offseason.

Ricky Rubio has a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the 11-12 NBA season, according to sources.

An MRI conducted on Saturday confirmed the tear.

Rubio will also miss the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Ricky Rubio will have an MRI on his left knee on Saturday, several hours after his knee buckled in the final moments of Minnesota's loss to the Lakers.

“Possible ACL,” the source briefed on Rubio’s condition said. “We’ll know more after the MRI. … There’s a lot of worry right now.”

Rubio came across to trap Kobe Bryant and fell to the floor as Bryant collided with him. Rubio was on the floor for a few moments until teammates carried him to the bench.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have Malcolm Lee from the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League. 

In his second stint with Sioux Falls, Lee appeared in four games for the Skyforce, averaging 10.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.8 assists in just over 29 minutes per game. Included in his four-game stint was an 18-point, 9-rebound, 6-assist performance Saturday, March 3 at Erie. Lee also registered 12 points and nine assists March 1 vs. Bakersfield.
