LaMarcus Aldridge Interested In Signing Long-Term With Blazers

Jan 12, 2014 4:30 PM

LaMarcus Aldridge is having a career season for the Portland Trail Blazers and he is adamant that he is happy with the franchise.

Aldridge also would be open to discussing a long-term contract extension with the Blazers.

"I would like to re-sign here," Aldridge said. "If they want to talk about it, I would talk about it. They haven't yet, but I'm looking forward to the chance to do that."

"When the appropriate time comes, which is not now, that is a conversation that will happen between (owner) Paul Allen, myself, LaMarcus and his agent (Arn Tellem)," Neil Olshey said. "It's not a conversation that's going to play out in the media in January."

Aldridge was not content with the Blazers' position at times in the offseason, but they have been one of the NBA's top teams this season.

Mo Williams Will Opt Out Of Deal With Blazers In Offseason

Jan 9, 2014 1:08 PM

Mo Williams will opt out of his $2.7 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers for the 14-15 season.

Williams signed a two-year deal last offseason.

“I would like to be here long term,” Williams revealed to CSNNW.com. “My goal is to work something out with Portland this summer. I like it here and I want to make this place home.”

“Mo has been great,” Terry Stotts said. “He came in and understood his role. I think he has flourished in his role. I’ve said may times that I think he’s the best backup in the league, which is what we needed. He’s been able to help Damian on and off the court. We wouldn’t be where we are today without Mo.”
