- The draft rights to Jeff Ayres and a TPE were acquired by the Portland Trail Blazers from the Sacramento Kings in exchange for: Sergio Rodriguez, the draft rights to Jon Brockman and cash.
- The Sacramento Kings selected Tyreke Evans in Round 1 with Pick 4 in the 2009 NBA Draft.
- The Sacramento Kings selected Omri Casspi in Round 1 with Pick 23 in the 2009 NBA Draft.

- The Sacramento Kings placed the contract of Mikki Moore on waivers.
- Bobby Brown and Shelden Williams were acquired by the Minnesota Timberwolves from the Sacramento Kings in exchange for: Calvin Booth, Rashad McCants and a TPE.

Brad Miller, John Salmons and a TPE were acquired by the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Drew Gooden, Andres Nocioni, Michael Ruffin and Cedric Simmons.
