The San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers have emerged as possible destinations for Ray Allen.

Allen is still deciding whether or not he will retire, but he has been widely expected to join LeBron James with the Cleveland Cavaliers should he continue his playing career.

Doc Rivers is a natural recruiter for Allen given their time together with the Boston Celtics.

The Spurs have one roster spot available.

The San Antonio Spurs have expressed interest in Gustavo Ayon.

Ayon is a free agent after playing for the Atlanta Hawks last season.

The Spurs are also hopeful about re-signing Aron Baynes.

Erazem Lorbek and Barcelona have agreed upon a contract buyout.

Lorbek was originally drafted by the Indiana Pacers, but his draft rights were dealt to the San Antonio Spurs as part of the Kawhi Leonard trade in 2011.

The Spurs have just one remaining roster spot available.

The San Antonio Spurs have signed Josh Davis to a multi-year contract.

Davis went undrafted in June out of San Diego State.

Davis will likely battle fellow camp signees JaMychal Green and Bryce Cotton for what might at best be one roster spot.

Aron Baynes hopes to re-sign with the San Antonio Spurs, but he is also exporing potential deals with European teams.

Baynes is reportedly searching for a contract worth $1.5 million Euros.

The Spurs extended Baynes a qualifying offer to make him a restricted free agent.

Hakim Warrick will work out for the San Antonio Spurs on Sept. 1.

Warrick is not guaranteed a contract with the Spurs, but he will have an opportunity against some current Spurs players and free agents.

Warrick said he accepted the Spurs' invitation because San Antonio has some players with non-guaranteed deals.

Warrick last played in the NBA during the 2012-13 season with the Bobcats.

Marcus Denmon has signed with Enel Brindisi of Italy.

Denmon was a second round pick for the San Antonio Spurs in 2012.

In his last two seasons, Denmon has played with Chalon (France) and Tofas Bursa (Turkey).

JaMychal Green signed a two-year, partially guaranteed contract with the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, a league source told RealGM.

The Spurs announced the signing of Green in a press release Wednesday afternoon.

Green, a 6-foot-9 forward who went undrafted in 2012, played for the Spurs’ summer league entry in Las Vegas this year. In six games, Green averaged 7.8 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 44.2 percent from the floor.

Green was part of the Spurs’ organization in 2012, when the team signed him to an undrafted free-agent deal after his participation in summer league. He also played for the Spurs’ Development League affiliate in Austin.

Green, a four-year player at the University of Alabama, played last season in the French Pro A League for Roanne, averaging 11.8 points and 6.6 rebounds in 22.1 minutes in 25 games while shooting .530 (122-230) from the field.

The San Antonio Spurs have hired Becky Hammon as assistant coach.

Hammon is in her 16th WNBA season and announced on July 23 that she would retire at the end of the season.

“I very much look forward to the addition of Becky Hammon to our staff,” said Gregg Popovich. “Having observed her working with our team this past season, I’m confident her basketball IQ, work ethic and interpersonal skills will be a great benefit to the Spurs.”

A six-time WNBA All-Star, Hammon has spent the last eight seasons with the San Antonio Stars.
