LaMarcus Aldridge Was 'Mentally Drained' During Free Agency

Aug 16, 2015 5:17 PM

LaMarcus Aldridge feels like a rookie again adjusting to life in San Antonio.

Aldridge spent nine seasons in Portland with the Blazers.

"I don't know where to go, I don't know where anything is," Aldridge said during an appearance Saturday at the George Gervin Academy. "It's like being a rookie all over again."

Aldridge remains at peace with his choice to sign with the Spurs.

"I don't like change," Aldridge said. "That's been a little bit difficult for me, trying to get used to a new city. I got lost like twice yesterday. That's not fun.

"In the end, it should be great for me. Right now, it's been tough because everything is so new."

Aldridge felt "mentally drained" during the free agency process.

Patty Mills Added To Australia's Roster For Oceania Championship

Aug 11, 2015 5:06 AM

Patty Mills has been added to Australia's national team roster for the Oceania Championship.

Australia needed Mills following the ACL tear suffered by Dante Exum.

Mills had initially been left off the roster after the San Antonio Spurs asked him to sit out a series of warmup games.

“I’m looking forward to joining my Boomers teammates for this very important qualification series against New Zealand,” Mills said via statement. “Playing for my country has always been an honor for me. Obviously my shoulder injury last year meant that I had to continue intensive rehab and quality training over the past few months. I’ve done that and will be ready for the Oceania Championships.”
