Stephen Curry and Kyle Lowry have been named the NBA's Players of the Week. 

Curry had point totals of 36, 42, 51 and 46 last week for the Golden State Warriors, including a 12-for-16 three-point shooting game against the Thunder.

Lowry led the conference in scoring last week averaging 28.7 points, while shooting 28-for-47 (.596) from the field and 7-for-17 (.412) from three-point range. He also ranked second in the conference averaging 8.7 assists in three games for the Raptors.

The Toronto Raptors will waive Anthony Bennett to sign Jason Thompson for the remainder of the season.

Bennett was signed by the Raptors after he was waived last offseason by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Houston Rockets approached the Toronto Raptors about a deal for Dwight Howard.

"I know they called up Toronto and talked about Valanciunas and Toronto hung up the phone," said Lowe.

Valanciunas signed a four-year, $64 million extension with the Raptors in August.

Howard will likely opt for free agency in the offseason.

The Toronto Raptors were never involved on Markieff Morris as they were concerned about disrupting their team chemistry.

"Masai Ujiri was very active on the phone during the last few days," said Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Raptors are currently second in the Eastern Conference.

The Phoenix Suns will not trade P.J. Tucker ahead of the deadline.

Tucker received trade interest from the Toronto Raptors amongst other teams.

Adam Silver was asked if there were any plans to make a deal with the Toronto Raptors due to the drop in the Canadian dollar.

In the past, Major League Baseball made a deal to give the Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Expos some relief.

"There is no current plans to make any adjustments, but we have a planning committee of our owners that deals with matters like that," said Silver. "Of course it's something that we talk to MLSE about all the time. I should say the issue is complex, because in many cases when it comes to league revenue that's paid to the Raptors, it's paid in U.S. dollars, and they have other expenses, of course, they pay in Canadian dollars. So it's something that we're studying.

"The Raptors have not asked for relief from the league, but there have been periods of time historically when the Canadian dollar was at a low point when there have been adjustments made. So we'll continue to look at it. That's the purpose of our planning committee, which also oversees revenue sharing among our teams."

Kyle Lowry thought he had been traded to the New York Knicks in December of 2013.

“That deal was done,” Lowry said.

The Toronto Raptors would have received Metta World Peace, Iman Shumpert and a future first round pick.

The Knicks killed the deal at the request of James Dolan.

Dolan was afraid of losing another trade to Masai Ujiri, who was on the other side of the Carmelo Anthony and Andrea Bargnani deals.

“At the end of the day, the decision was made for me to be here and it worked out equally, perfectly for both parties,” said Lowry who is in the second year of four-year, $48 million contract.

Chris Bosh has withdrawn from the All-Star Game with an unspecified injury.

Al Horford will replace Bosh on the Eastern Conference team.

The Toronto Raptors have emerged as the best threat to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference and have been active in searching for an upgrade at power forward.

The Raptors, sources say, have had exploratory discussions to gauge the possibility of acquiring Denver's Kenneth Faried, Brooklyn's Thaddeus Young and the Phoenix duo of Markieff Morris and P.J. Tucker.

Young re-signed with the Nets in the 2015 offseason.

The Raptors own the New York Knicks' first round pick in addition to their own, which can be used in a trade.

DeMar DeRozan will be a free agent for the first time in his career but he says it will be "pretty tough" for a team to sign him away from the Toronto Raptors.

"My whole mindset has always been this is home for me," DeRozan said. "I never think otherwise unless it's brought up to me, or you see things, or people ask you about certain things.

"This has always been home to me. I took pride in putting on this Toronto Raptors jersey since I've been drafted here. And my whole goal was to get this team to the point where it is now. And I feel I've been a major key to that."

The Los Angeles Lakers are planning to offer DeRozan a max contract.

Kyle Lowry is confident the Raptors will be able to re-sign DeRozan.

"He will be a free agent," Lowry told ESPN Radio. "That's the best thing for him to do. And for me as a friend -- as a friend -- and what he did for me during my free agency, I'll do the same thing. I will just listen and sit back. I won't give him no advice, and I won't push him anywhere. Because, as a friend, friendship comes before basketball, and that's my guy.

"Wherever he makes a decision to go -- and I'm hoping it's back here, which I think it's gonna be -- I won't push him or persuade him or anything. I'll just say: 'Hey, listen, bro. I'm here to listen to you.'"
