Wizards Trade First Rounder To Suns For Markieff Morris

Feb 18, 2016 2:54 PM

The Washington Wizards have acquired Markieff Morris from the Phoenix Suns.

Morris has sought a trade from the Suns since the offseason.

Morris is signed through the 18-19 season on one of the NBA's most reasonable non-rookie contracts.

The Suns will acquire a protected first rounder from the Wizards along with Kris Humphries and DeJuan Blair.

According to Bobby Marks of The Vertical, the Wizards can still re-sign Bradley Beal to a max contract and create $25 million in cap space.
