Isaiah Canaan of Murray State and Ian Clark of Belmont have been named co-winners of the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year award.

Joining Canaan and Clark on the All-OVC First Team are Edward Daniel of Murray State, Eastern Kentucky's Mike DiNunno, Belmont's Kerron Johnson and Patrick Miller of Tennessee State.

Clark also was named Defensive Player of the Year, while Austin Peay's Chris Horton won Freshman of the Year honors.

The thirty candidates for Naismith Men's College Player of the Year were announced on Tuesday.

Murray State received a verbal commitment from Cameron Payne, a 6-foot-1 guard who averaged 22 points and four assists as a junior at Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis.

Paynce chose the Racers from a list that included Wichita State, High Point, College of Charleston and Ohio.
