Johnny O'Bryant Leaves LSU For NBA Draft

Johnny O'Bryant will declare for the 2014 NBA Draft.

O'Bryant led LSU in scoring at 15 points per game and was second in rebounding.

Scottie Wilbekin, Julius Randle Headline SEC Awards

Scottie Wilbekin of Florida has been named SEC Player of the Year.

Wilbekin was joined on the First Team All-SEC by Jabari Brown, Jordan McRae, Johnny O'Bryant, Casey Prather, Julius Randle, Trevor Releford and Jarnell Stokes.

Randle was also named Freshman of the Year.

On the Second Team All-SEC are Jordan Clarkson, Chris Denson, Marshall Henderson, Charles Mann, Jordan Mickey, Rod Odom, Bobby Portis, Jarvis Summer, James Young and Patric Young.

Young was also named Defensive Player of the Year.

On the SEC All-Defensive Team along with Young are Willie Cauley-Stein, Jordan Mickey, Josh Richardson and Scottie Wilbekin.

Joining Randle on the SEC All-Freshman Team by Shannon Hale, Damian Jones, Jarrell Martin, Jordan Mickey, Bobby Portis, Sindarius Thornwell and James Young.

Ben Simmons Commits To LSU

Ben Simmons has committed to LSU as a member of the 2015 class.

Simmons, ranked No. 4 in the class, also considered Kentucky, Duke and Kansas. 

Simmons announced his decision on Twitter on Monday morning.

Simmons is 6'9, 230 and will likely play power forward in college even though he is also a good perimeter shooter.

Simmons is from Melbourne, Australia where he father, David, played for more than a decade. Simmons enrolled in January 2013 at Montverde.

David Patrick, assistant coach at LSU, is Simmons' godfather.
