7th Seeded Western Kentucky Wins 2012 Sun Belt Tournament

Seventh-seeded Western Kentucky defeated fifth-seeded North Texas by a final score of 74-70 in the championship game of the 2012 Sun Belt Tournament to advance to the NCAA Tournament.
Western Kentucky had a 7-9 record in regular season conference play, but beat Florida International, Arkansas-Little Rock, Denver and North Texas to capture an automatic bid.
George Fant was named Tournament MVP and was joined on the All-Tournament Team by teammates Derrick Gordon, Kahlil McDonald, Tony Mitchell and Jacob Holmen of North Texas, and Trey Flinn of Arkansas State.
